BOB MARLEY: ONE LOVE Featurette

Rebel Wilson To Star In Private Benjamin Remake

Rebel Wilson is ready for a new challenge — the Marines — as the popular comedienne is attached to star in New Line's reboot of the Goldie Hawn's 1980 comedy “Private Benjamin,” TheWrap has learned. “ Private Benjamin ” will follow a redneck ( Wilson ) and a rich city girl who get more than they bargained for when they enlist in the Marines to escape their present situations. Mark Gordon is producing the movie, which would seem to be a natural fit for Wilson's comedic sensibility. New Line is currently seeking a director for the modern day update. The original “ Private Benjamin ” grossed nearly $70 million at the domestic box office back in 1980, and its success spawned a short-lived TV series. Please Leave A Comment-

It later vaulted to prominence via the Atari 2600. There's a bit of a loop-closing thing happening, since the game itself was inspired (loosely) by sci-fi movies like "Star Wars." Sti...

Isla Fisher To Star In "Desperados" Universal Pictures has picked up "Desperados," a comedy spec from Ellen Rapoport that will act as a potential starring vehicle for Isla Fisher. The story is set in motion when a woman sends an indignant e-mail to her new beau, who's gone silent after they have sex. When she discovers he's comatose in a Mexican hospital, she races south of the border with her friends in tow to intercept the e-mail before he recovers. The project has been described as a female-oriented "Hangover."
