To mark the 30th anniversary of “ Raiders of the Lost Ark ,” a touring exhibition is spotlighting famous props from the Indiana Jones films and putting them side-by-side with real archaeological artifacts. The exhibition, called “ Indiana Jones and the Adventure of Archaeology ,” features the Ark of the Covenant from “Raiders” and the Holy Grail from “Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade,” as well as objects from ancient Peru, Egypt and Iraq, all on display in a museum space inspired by Hangar 51 and ancient temples. Lucasfilm teamed with National Geographic and Montreal’s X3 Productions to produce and curate the exhibit, which started its six-year international tour at the Montreal Science Centre and will head overseas next month. No dates have been scheduled in the U.S. as yet, but Hero Complex readers can get a glimpse of some of the objects in the gallery above (be sure to turn the CAPTIONS ON). Vader Banned By Lucas Films The man behind the mask of Vader will not be able to appear at any Lucasfilm's related event now or in the near future. He better book a flight to Comic-Con now since Celebration V is out of the picture. This is a statement released on Dave Prowse's website : Dave is not appearing at Celebration V It is with regret that I have been informed by my friends at C2 Ventures, Ben and Phillip, that I am not to be invited to C5 this year or any other Lucas Film associated events. After inquiring, the only thing I have been told is that I have "burnt too many bridges between Lucas Film and myself" - no other reason given. I have also been advised by the promoter of Paris Manga in September that LFL have requested no photo opportunities with the 501 Squadron, even though I am commander in chief of the 501.
