Quentin Tarantino has assembled a stellar cast for his next film Once Upon A Time In Hollywood , bringing together the likes of Brad Pitt, Leonardo DiCaprio, Al Pacino and Burt Reynolds . And while we’ve had our first glimpse at Pitt and DiCaprio in character, Margot Robbie has shared a new image from the set offering a look at her playing actress and model Sharon Tate. The film, written and directed by Tarantino, takes place in 1969 Los Angeles, and takes place around the time of the Manson murders. Tarantino has previously stated that the Manson murders aren’t the main focus of the film, claiming: “It’s not Charles Manson, it’s 1969”. However, Sharon Tate was famously one of the victims of the murders. Variety is reporting Warner Bros. TV and Plan B have teamed with writer Jason Richman to develop a drama series for Amazon inspired by Martin Scorsese’s 2006 Oscar-winner “ The Departed .” The project marks Warner Bros. TV’s first co-production pact with Amazon. Richman is writing the pilot and exec producing with Roy Lee, Michael Connolly, Graham King, Dede Gardner, Jeremy Kleiner, Sarah Esberg, Tripp Vinson, Doug Davison and Gianni Nunneri. Vertigo Entertainment, Initial Entertainment Group and Plan B Entertainment are also producing. The new spin on “Departed” revolves around a young cop who infiltrates a Latino gang in Chicago and battles the gang’s own plant in the police department. Given that The Revenant has put Leonardo DiCaprio on his strongest path to awards glory yet, it makes sense that he might want to reunite with one of the people behind the film. He's now attached to star in a mysterious movie called Conquest , to be written by Mark L. Smith. Mysterious doesn't even begin to truly describe this one, which has been kept so quiet thus far that even the various trade stories on the subject don't have so much of a whisper of a basic plot line. But that's mostly because the deal with Paramount for the film is so fresh the ink's probably still warm from the printer. Smith, who co-wrote Revenant with director Alejandro González Iñárritu, will write the script, which we assume will feature somebody journeying to/invading/overcoming... something? Yes, that's a useful piece of information right there. He's also busy on other projects, including the equally under wraps Collider, which has Edgar Wright attached to direct and J.J.

Variety is reporting Leonardo DiCaprio and Jennifer Davisson have come on board to produce Paramount’s movie about the Volkswagen clean diesel scandal. The duo are producing through their Appian Way banner. There are no acting or directing attachments yet. Paramount has acquired movie rights to Jack Ewing’s upcoming book, which will detail the scandal in which the company placed illegal software in their clean diesel cars that could tell when a car was being tested for fuel emissions and would turn on the emissions control to cheat the test and meet EPA standards. During normal driving conditions, emission control software was shut off — resulting in as much as 40 times more pollution than allowed by law. Volkswagen is currently facing up to $18 billion in fines from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.
