"I don't see how we can do [a sequel]. It's not made for that,” Luc Besson said last summer about the prospect of a sequel to the surprise smash hit " Lucy ." “If I find something good enough, maybe I will, but for now I don't even think about it.” Well, it looks like he's thought about it and something is brewing. Summer 2014 gets one last chance to make an impression. Summer 2014 made a big run in July, featuring releases like Dawn of the Planet of the Apes to The Purge: Anarchy , and Lucy. But there was a feeling that somehow Hollywood didn't exactly bring its A game. With films like The Dark Knight , Inception , the original Transformers and Harry Potter released during the same months during the previous 8 years, 2014's schedule felt very underwhelming. The well-intentioned but disappointing Lucy goes all weird on us and never looks back. Lately, there's been a lot of talk in films about humans only using 10% of their brain. We've heard this for years, and while this has been proven flatly untrue , Luc Besson's Lucy forms 90 minutes of this pseudo-science into an uneven mess.
