Godzilla: King of the Monsters Official Trailer

Following the global success of “ Godzilla ” and “ Kong: Skull Island ” comes the next chapter in Warner Bros. Pictures’ and Legendary Pictures’ cinematic MonsterVerse, an epic action adventure that pits Godzilla against some of the most popular monsters in pop culture history. The new story follows the heroic efforts of the crypto-zoological agency Monarch as its members face off against a battery of god-sized monsters, including the mighty Godzilla, who collides with Mothra, Rodan, and his ultimate nemesis, the three-headed King Ghidorah. When these ancient super-species—thought to be mere myths—rise again, they all vie for supremacy, leaving humanity’s very existence hanging in the balance. #BeautyAndTheBeast Opens HUGE

The tale might be as old as time, but the new take on Beauty And The Beast – the latest Disney live-action adaptation from its cartoon back catalog – stormed the US box office with a record-breaking $170 million opening, according to studio estimates. That represents a new high for a March opening and solidifies the recent success of the Mouse House, especially given that the movie cost $160 million to make before the usual marketing and print costs. No doubt Disney will be hoping for another billion-dollar baby, and given that the movie is already on $350 million worldwide after one week of release, it's not impossible. Kong: Skull Island had to clamber down to second place, falling $52.7% for $28.8 million and crossing the $100 million mark. That meant Logan was pushed to third and $17.5 million, though the gritty superhero movie is approaching $500 million worldwide after just a couple of weeks. Horror pic Get Out continues to perform, earning $13.2 million this weeken...

Movie Review: #KongSkullIsland

The monster movie universe just got bigger with the inventive but slightly flawed Kong: Skull Island . Review by Matt Cummings If anything was proven by the mammoth $652 million which Jurassic World took home in 2015, it was that audiences want their big monster movies in whatever form they can get them. With Kong: Skull Island , they'll see their wish granted, giving us a far better version than Jurassic 's bore-fest, even though this one has its fair share of problems. As the United States begins pulling out of Vietnam, emotions run the gamut, but a team of desperate scientists couldn't care less: they represent Monarch, an agency on its last legs because their crackpot leader Randa (John Goodman) can't find anyone to listen to his claims of monsters inhabiting deep caves under the earth. Luckily, a report by Hudson Brooks (Corey Hawkins) has left one last door open to explore a recently-discovered island that the Soviets might claim if the US doesn...

#PacificRim2 May Not Happen Now

According to THR  Legendary wanted to produce a sequel to del Toro's  Pacific Rim , which was made under the Warners deal and turned into one of those films that grosses a lot ($411 million worldwide) while being so costly that a follow-up isn't a sure thing. Sources say Legendary liked that the original performed exceptionally well in China, where the company is heavily invested, but for now the project — which had been ramping up to make a release date in August 2017 — has been halted indefinitely and will be pushed back (if it gets made at all). Universal Pictures' decision last week to let Thomas Tull's Legendary Pictures take its Kong: Skull Island project to Warner Bros. in the midst of a five-year production and financing deal is being read as a symptom of relationship trouble between the companies. Several sources say there has been strain, in part because Tull kicked off the deal in 2014 with a couple of clunkers that he put through Universal's dist...
