Drive Angry 3D Bombs At The Box Office

It was a bad weekend at the American box office for the Farrelly brothers , Nicolas Cage or indeed anyone who likes to see films perform well. The brothers had a better time than most, though their latest comedy, Hall Pass could only place second on its launch weekend. And to rub salt into the wound, the winner was Gnomeo and Juliet , which surprised everyone by leaping back up from third place to first in its third weekend in release with $14.2 million. Hall Pass, meanwhile, took in $13.4 million. Last week’s champ, Unknown , slipped down to third with $12.4 million, while the Adam Sandler comedy Just Go With It clung to fourth place, making $11.1 million. I Am Number Four doesn’t look like it’ll have the strongest legs, as it fell to fifth place with $11 million and a total take of $37.7 million after just two weeks in US cinemas. Justin Bieber: Never Say Never, meanwhile, held on to sixth with $9.2 million, holding off The King’s Speech , which nonetheless itself stayed in ...

Never Say Never Extended Version In Theaters This Weekend Only

In an unprecedented move, Paramount's Insurge Pictures will release an updated director's fan cut of Justin Bieber: Never Say Never in a one-week exclusive run, beginning Feb. 25. I find this to funny, people who have already gone out and wasted X amount of money to see this film will have to cough up even more cash to see the newly edited film. So if you haven't see the film wait til this weekend to get your moneys worth.  Do you still have Bieber Fever? Be sure to check out our review of the film Here . Yes we have a review of the film. Director Jon M. Chu's updated version will play only in 3D runs in the U.S. and Canada, replacing the original version. There will be 40 minutes of new footage . Chu has trimmed 30 minutes of footage from the original Never Say Never to accommodate the addtional scenes. Updated version runs 115 minutes, instead of the original running time of 105 minutes. Move is designed to whip up renewed interest in the film among Bieber...

Unknown Leads The Box Office On This Holiday Weekend

In another win for Liam Neeson and his adult fans, Warner Bros. and Dark Castle Entertainment's action-thriller Unknown scored a surprise victory in besting Alex Pettyfer teen sci-fi adventure I Am Number Four at the President's Day box office. But overall, the downturn at the domestic box office continued, with revenues off 30% from President's Day weekend last year (which fell a week earlier). Unknown opened to an estimated $21.8 million from 3,043 theaters through Sunday, according to Rentrak. It's on target to gross around $26 million for the four-day holiday weekend. A resounding 89% of the audience was over the age of 25 -- and 54% over the age of 50. Neeson scored a similar victory with Taken, distributed by Fox. Unknown, which cost $30 million to produce, was fully financed by Joel Silver's Dark Castle. The film also stars Diane Kruger and January Jones . "I'm happy for Joel to have a breakout film. Dark Castle has struggled at the box ...

Adam Sandler Beats Justin Bieber At The Box Office

Final numbers show Sony’s Adam Sandler - Jennifer Aniston romantic comedy Just Go With It winning the weekend box office crown after maintaining a narrow lead over Paramount’s Justin Bieber: Never Say Never. Just Go With It looks to have grossed $30.5 million, while Never Say Never took in roughly $29.5 million. Sunday’s estimates had Just Go With It and Never Say Never separated by only $700,000, or $31 million vs. $30.3 million, respectively. Either way, Never Say Never—fueled by young girls--far outpaced expectations in its debut, one of the top ever for a documentary. Including revenue from advance screenings on Feb. 9, film’s cume is north of $30 million. Never Say Never, directed by Jon M. Chu, is more of a biopic than a concert film. Females made up 84 percent of the audience, while 67% of the audience was under the age of 25. Paramount said moms reacted well to the film, which drew an A- CinemaScore. The big question now is what kind of legs Never Say Never wil...

Justin Bieber: Never Say Never Movie Review By: Isla & Cre

Justin Bieber: Never Say Never Movie Review By: Isla & Cre There was no way in Hell I was going to see or even review this movie. So today we have guest reviewers for this film. Welcome Isla and Cre two 30 something young ladies that went out and saw this movie. Brave ladies. And here is what they thought of the film. First and foremost, everyone needs to set their preconceived notions about Justin Bieber and all the craze aside and give " Never say Never " a chance. With all the young singers out there today not setting the best example for our kids "their fans" this is a must see movie. The mastermind behind the movie is a genius. This is going to skyrocket his already bustling career! I predict an epic story for this young man suitable to be compared with some great artists like MJ and the Beatles . Honest! This documentary of his life gave us an inside look at a young man that is honest, humble, pure, loving and real! It brought tears to my eyes w...
