Natalie Portman In Negotiations To Star In "Gravity" His “ Gravity ” script might be having trouble achieving orbit, but Jonas Cuaron’s relationship with Warner Bros. is soaring. The upshot is that the studio is in active negotiations with Natalie Portman , who has shot to the top of the most-wanted actress list off the heat generated from her performance in Darren Aronofsky ’s “ Black Swan .” The studio has picked up an untitled pitch from the scribe, with Hollywood Gang attached to produce. Logline details are being sequestered, but the project is a gritty thriller set in Mexico City. Cuaron co-wrote “ Gravity ” with his father, director Alfonso Cuaron. It initially was set up at Universal as an Angelina Jolie vehicle but then migrated to Warners, where it eventually lost Jolie.
