BOB MARLEY: ONE LOVE Featurette

Starship Troopers Reboot On The Way

Break out the bug spray! Sony Pictures Über-producer Neal Moritz has decided that the time has come to reboot Paul Verhoeven's 1997 fascist classic Starship Troopers . He has assigned the script to screenwriters Ashley Edward Miller and Zack Stentz, who, among other things, wrote Thor and X-Men: First Class, as well as many episodes of the TV shows Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles and Fringe . Of course, they also wrote Agent Cody Banks, which makes one think that Frankie Muniz could be the perfect former child star to take over the Neil Patrick Harris role. A new Starship Troopers follows remake plans for Verhoeven's Total Recall and RoboCop. How long until his Basic Instinct and Showgirls get updated? Come to think of it, we could totally see Frankie Muniz in both of those, too. Please Leave A Comment- Source- Vulture

Star Trek Screenwriters Talk About The Sequel

Sequel To Follow The lines Of “The Empire Strikes Back The 2009 reboot of “ Star Trek ” was a shining moment for fans of sci-fi and spectacle films and the sequel, due in 2012, may well follow the box-office trajectory of the Christopher Nolan Gotham City films — “Batman Begins” earned the credibility with fans old and new and then “The Dark Knight” delivered the billion-dollar payoff. “ Star Trek ” writers Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci , the tandem that also penned “ Transformers ” and next summer’s “ Cowboys & Aliens ” and also created the Fox sci-fi series “ Fringe ,” are back to script the sequel. The LATimes caught up with the screenwriters, who talked about the challenges ahead and also shared a playful aspiration — an on-screen showdown between Captain Kirk and Darth Vader . LT: It’s early days on the “Star Trek” sequel, but is there anything you can tell us about the story direction, tone or even the types of challenges you’re anticipating with this next-step projec...

Fringe Renewed For A Third Season

Fringe Renewed For A Third Season Though the show isn't exactly blowing the roof off of Nielsen—it's been averaging just 7.6 million viewers and is ranked No. 50 in the all-important adults 18-49 demographic this season—it managed to survive in a tough new time period on Thursdays. The show returns with new episodes—and the promise of more visits from Leonard Nimoy and to the parallel universe—on April 1. That means we'll get more of the delicious weirdness, more loony awesome John Noble as Walter Bishop, more sexy Joshua Jackson-Anna Torv tension, more mercury-blooded alt-dimension assassins, more Nimoy, more Blair Brown-Lance Reddick action, hopefully more Kirk Acevedo, and lots more 'splodey heads. (And, yes, how could we forget: More of the button-cute, spunky Jasika Nicole as Astrid!) Please Leave A Comment- Source- EW

Fringe Coming with Something New in Season Two

Fringe Coming with Something New in Season Two Fringe is on its way back from that alternate reality, and we've got a few cool tidbits to share with you as we get ready for the second season of Fox's ubercool sci-fi procedural. For starters, Fox sent along this mysterious paper with its second-season premiere screener for the sci-fi series, which returns next Thursday at 9 p.m. Check out the close-up below for the message it contains. (Possible spoiler ahead !) What could it mean?? Executive producers J.J. Abrams , Jeff Pinkner, Joel Wyman and Akiva Goldsman, meanwhile, promise that the second season will build on the tantalizing promise of the first: "As we said last year, Fringe is a procedural, but unlike most procedurals, it's driven by character. Last season we met Olivia Dunham ( Anna Torv ), Walter Bishop ( John Noble ) and Peter Bishop ( Joshua Jackson ) as well as the characters who support them while they tackle insane problems. And we discovered that at lea...
