#TheDefenders Teaser Video "Midland Circle Security Elevator B"

The anonymously named " Midland Circle Security Elevator B " is, of course, a nod to the dodgy corporation we first met in Daredevil's second season, and the people on the footage are Matt Murdock ( Charlie Cox ), Jessica Jones ( Krysten Ritter ), Luke Cage ( Mike Colter ) and Danny "Iron Fist" Rand ( Finn Jones ), all looking like they've just been in a brawl. There are some interesting touches here – why is Danny seemingly more exhausted than the others, for example, and we guess Matt didn't have his costume along with him – and little clues leading to viral info. The address in the top left corner leads to a site for the New York Bulletin (where Deborah Ann Woll's Karen Page works), itself a treasure trove of other sites based around the shared superhero universe. Oh, and when Jessica smashes the camera, the footage halts at 8:18:20:17, or to translate from American dating protocols, 18 August 2017, suggesting we have a release date for the...

TV Review: #IronFist Hardcore enough to sit through

Hardcore enough to sit through Rama is back. Here’s my review of Marvel’s new Netflix series, “ Iron Fist ,” and since I didn’t grow up reading Roy Thomas and Gil Kane’s comic books, nor was I familiar with it, this review is more from the perspective of a fan who’s binge-watched all 13 episodes as opposed to making comparisons and trying to finding out whether or not the adaptation is faithful to the material. Let me just say that of all the shows that Marvel Television and Netflix have given us since this whole ambitious “Defenders” plan started, my favorite remains “Jessica Jones,” and although “Iron Fist” is not their best work, it’s still engaging and hardcore enough to sit through. Finn Jones plays Danny Rand, a man who for fifteen years has been presumed dead in a plane crash. His parents died in the crash, he ended up in a monastery where he received training. He returns to New York City to reclaim his birthright, to reconnect with his past. There he also meets Jessica ...

Sigourney Weaver To Play The Villian In @netflix Defenders

Marvel's TV side had a lot of news to announce at this weekend's New York Comic-Con. Along with a new teaser trailer for Iron Fist came the revelation that all four Defenders – Matt Murdock, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Danny Rand – will be facing off against a baddie played by Sigourney Weaver. No details were released as to what character Weaver will be playing, or how her nefarious plans will roll out, but it's certainly an exciting piece of casting. “Marvel is honored to have an actress of her caliber and status join what is already our biggest show ever!,” said Marvel TV boss Jeph Loeb. “She is by definition a class act.” With Charlie Cox, Krysten Ritter, Mike Colter and more recent recruit Finn Jones preparing to shoot the Defenders miniseries that will unite their characters, the team-up should be on Netflix next year, though there was no announcement was made at the con. As for Iron Fist, that will arrive on 17 March. Want more from the Defenders unive...

Confirmed: Finn Jones Is Marvel’s IRON FIST

Finn Jones , who is best known for his role as Ser Loras Tyrell in HBO’s hit drama Game of Thrones , is set to play titular role in Marvel’s IRON FIST for Netflix, Marvel officially confirmed Thursday. Jones will star as Daniel “Danny” Rand , a handsome, sophisticated and independent loner who returns to New York City after being missing for years to fight against the criminal element corrupting the city with his incredible kung-fu mastery and the ability to summon the power of the fiery Iron Fist. The series is being executive produced by Netflix’s Allie Goss, Marvel’s Jeph Loeb and Stan Lee, and Scott Buck, who will serve as showrunner. The series marks the fourth collaboration between Marvel and Netflix, following Daredevil, last fall’s Jessica Jones and the upcoming Luke Cage. All four characters will eventually appear together as The Defenders in a crossover miniseries on Netflix. The news comes just weeks ahead of Daredevil season two’s release on March 18th. The Iron...
