BOB MARLEY: ONE LOVE Featurette

The Three Stooges Will Get a Sequel, Apparently.

Get ready for the Second Nyuking. By Brandon Wolfe The Farrelly Brothers’ 2012 decade-in-the-making passion project The Three Stooges , a contemporary updating of the misadventures of nitwits Larry, Moe and Curly, didn’t exactly set the world on fire. It turned a very modest profit, and contained an uncanny performance by Chris Diamantopoulos as Moe, but didn’t inspire much enthusiasm otherwise. Still, it’s a recognizable brand name, and in this day and age that means it must be plundered and strip-mined as is customary for anything from the past that people have heard of. Ergo, we are now getting a Stooges sequel, with Diamantopoulos, Sean Hayes and Will Sasso reprising their roles. The returning cast will be joined by “a major action star.” Because it’s a sequel to a movie that he wasn’t in, let’s put some money on The Rock. No word on if the Farrellys will have any involvement in the sequel, but Cameron Fay has been hired to write the script. Discuss this story with f...

THE THREE STOOGES Movie Review By: RAMA

THE THREE STOOGES Movie Review By: RAMA What did RAMA think of this movie? Farrelly Bros’ THE THREE STOOGES is laugh out loud funny! The original stooges would be proud as they look down from heaven while poking each other in the eye. It’s a good thing that Farrellys didn’t go with the usual, overdone biopic route and chose this instead, it serves as somewhat of a way to give the original stooges, may the rest in peace, the movie that that they never got. Consists of three interconnecting segments, the comedy keeps on delivering from start to finish. Chris Diamantopoulos, Sean Hayes, and Will Sasso are perfect as Moe, Larry, and Curly respectively. If last year, we were treated with all kinds of films that were practically love letters to cinema and filmmaking in general, well, THE THREE STOOGES is a love letter to comedy and the three geniuses that inspired funny people everywhere all over the world. A fitting tribute.. Left on a nun’s doorstep, Larry, Curly and Moe grow up...

Modern Family star Sofia Vergara is in discussions to join the growing cast of Three Stooges . Sean Hayes and Will Sasso have so far been cast in the comedy being directed by the Farrelly brothers . Still up for grabs is the part of Moe. The movie is not a biopic but will be divided into roughly half-hour vignettes. Vergara doesn't have the offer just yet, although one is expected to be issued shortly. She is expected to play a devious woman who pretends to be the wife of a dying man and tells the Stooges she'll pay them a handsome sum if they kill the man in his sleep. Drive Angry 3D Bombs At The Box Office

It was a bad weekend at the American box office for the Farrelly brothers , Nicolas Cage or indeed anyone who likes to see films perform well. The brothers had a better time than most, though their latest comedy, Hall Pass could only place second on its launch weekend. And to rub salt into the wound, the winner was Gnomeo and Juliet , which surprised everyone by leaping back up from third place to first in its third weekend in release with $14.2 million. Hall Pass, meanwhile, took in $13.4 million. Last week’s champ, Unknown , slipped down to third with $12.4 million, while the Adam Sandler comedy Just Go With It clung to fourth place, making $11.1 million. I Am Number Four doesn’t look like it’ll have the strongest legs, as it fell to fifth place with $11 million and a total take of $37.7 million after just two weeks in US cinemas. Justin Bieber: Never Say Never, meanwhile, held on to sixth with $9.2 million, holding off The King’s Speech , which nonetheless itself stayed in ...

Sean Penn On Board For Three Stooges Movie

Sean Penn On Board For Three Stooges Movie Hollywood heavy Sean Penn, who dropped out of the Farrelly Brothers’ “Three Stooges” movie during the bust-up of his marriage, is back on board to play middle Stooge Larry, Bobby Farrelly told the Track . Penn took a Tinseltown time-out back in June when he announced he was forgoing future film projects to focus on his family as his marriage to Robin Wright Penn went down the tubes. Penn’s move sank the Farrelly Brothers’ hopes to get the long-awaited Stooges flick off the ground in 2009. “We got him back,” Bobby Farrelly told the Track. “He always said he wanted to do it after, you know, taking care of his family.” Allegedly, the Rhode Island-bred bros wanted to replace Penn with Paul Giamatti, but that didn’t pan out. Now that they have their Larry back and Benicio Del Toro is still interested in playing Moe, Curly still needs to be cast. There was word, way back when, that Jim Carrey was interested. But Bobby claims otherwise. Please Leav...
