BOB MARLEY: ONE LOVE Featurette

Movie Review: #ANNIHILATION

Lena, a biologist and former soldier, joins a mission to uncover what happened to her husband inside Area X - a sinister and mysterious phenomenon that is expanding across the American coastline. Once inside, the expedition discovers a world of mutated landscape and creatures, as dangerous as it is beautiful, that threatens both their lives and their sanity. From visionary director Alex Garland (Ex Machina, 28 Days Later) and based on the acclaimed best-selling Southern Reach Trilogy by Jeff VanderMeer, Annihilation stars Natalie Portman, Oscar Isaac, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Tessa Thompson, Gina Rodriguez and Tuva Novotny . First Look At Aicia Vikander In Lara Croft: Tomb Raider

Aicia Vikander had a major breakout year in 2015, playing both a mysterious (and eventually vengeful) robot in Ex Machina as well as a devoted wife and artist in The Danish Girl . It was the latter role that won her the Oscar and could have minted an entire career in thoughtful period dramas. Instead, for her follow-up, Vikander is going the action-heroine route, donning the iconic tank top and cargo pants of Lara Croft: Tomb Raider. In these first-look images, see Vikander take on the role made famous first in the video-game series and then in the two films starring Angelina Jolie. But this version of Lara comes with a new backstory, and a new motivation for her adventures: seven years after the disappearance of her father, 21-year-old Lara has refused to take the reins of his global business empire, instead working as a bike courier in London while taking college classes. Eventually she becomes inspired to investigate her father’s disappearance and travels to his last-known loc...

Oscar Isaac's Mojave Trailer

Empire scored the first poster & trailer for Oscar Isaac's Mojave . He is having one hell of a 2015, enjoying scene-stealing roles in the likes of Star Wars: The Force Awakens and Ex Machina . 2016 promises to be just as fruitful, with appearances in X-Men: Apocalypse – and now, indie crime thriller Mojave . Set in the Californian desert of the title, it sees Isaac on villainous duties, playing a mysterious drifter named Jack who comes up against depressive artist Thomas, played by Garrett Hedlund . Mark Wahlberg and Walton Goggins also star in the film, which is being directed by William Monahan, best known for his screenwriting work on the likes of The Departed (for which he won an Oscar), Oblivion and The Gambler. Pack some suncream before you head into this particular desert: Mojave hits theaters and On Demand from March 25. Please Leave A Comment-

28 Months Later Finally Begins To Gestate

Long delayed sequel finally has some bite. By Brandon Wolfe Shortly after the release of 2007’s 28 Weeks Later , the well-received sequel to Danny Boyle’s 2003 horror hit 28 Days Later , there was talk of a second sequel, predictably titled 28 Months Later . Boyle has sporadically mentioned the possibility of revisiting his world where a virus has reduced much of the population into rage-filled zombies (except they’re not dead; it’s weird), but the film never materialized. That may be about to change. Alex Garland, the writer of 28 Days Later as well as the recent Ex Machina and cult favorite Dredd , has stumbled upon a concept that has potentially reinvigorated the sequel. “The rights to 28 Days were frozen, effectively, because they were shared between Danny [Boyle], [producer] Andrew [McDonald], myself, and Fox,” Garland said. “ After the second one, none of us really wanted to do another. Fox may or may not have, I don't know.” As for what changed his mind, Garland g...
