BOB MARLEY: ONE LOVE Featurette

Everything You Need To Know About Disney+

Disney on Thursday gave the first glimpse inside its plan to transform from a staid movie studio into a media company for the modern age as it unveiled new details of its soon-to-launch Disney+ streaming service. From Stage 2 on Disney's Burbank campus, executives revealed that Disney+ will bow Nov. 12 and be available for $6.99 per month or $69.99 for the whole year. Disney+ will come stocked with programming from across the company's vast library, including at launch 18 Pixar films; 13 animated classics that have previously been locked inside the Disney vault; all Star Wars films; Marvel titles like Black Panther and Captain Marvel ; some 250 hours of National Geographic programming; 100 Disney Channel Original Movies; and nine exclusive originals. Additionally, Disney+ will become the exclusive streaming home for the entire 660-episode-plus library of The Simpsons . The power of Disney's IP was center stage. The nearly four-hour presentation, in the same buil...

New Scenes Shot For Deadpool 2's Re-Release

Not content with the theatrical version and the home entertainment-based Super Duper Cut , Team Deadpool has been working for a while on a PG-13 edit of Deadpool 2 that is sliding onto screens in December. And now, thanks to writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, we know it won't just be a chopped up take on the movie, but will actually feature new footage. Letting slip to the team at Slashfilm , the pair explained that they wrote and shot (alongside director David Leitch) new material for this release. "We definitely shot new stuff," says Wernick. "And recently, too. After Deadpool 2 came out and we were all sitting around, we came to it less about the idea of let’s make a PG-13 movie and more, 'Let’s talk a little bit about Deadpool.' We were kicking around some ideas and then I think it was Ryan Reynolds who had the great framing device and we all got excited and went to the studio. They said, 'Yeah, let’s do it. Fire up the cameras.' About tw...

#Deadpool Short #Logan

If you've been to see Logan already, then you'll have watched the Deadpool scene that played before Wolverine's latest film started. Wade Wilson (AKA Ryan Reynolds) has put it officially online for those who have yet to watch it... The footage – which the filmmakers have been quick to stress is not from the sequel now in development, though includes more than a few nods to potential elements, including Nathan Summers' (Cable) name scrawled on the phone booth – finds our less than responsible hero attempting a Superman-style quick change to help the victim of a street mugging. Suffice to say, he takes a little longer than Clark Kent usually does and things do not turn out well for the poor civilian. Still, at least Wade gets ice cream out of it. With Reynolds suiting up once more, Deadpool 2 once again has Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese on script duty, with John Wick's David Leitch taking over the director's chair from Tim Miller. There is no release dat...

Box Office 2016 Winners & Loser

Who won and who lost at the box office this year? Regardless of your political persuasion, 2016 was a year of tumult and uncertainty. At least the movies gave us an occasional break from the headlines. Feel-good animated films triumphed at the box office this year, with Finding Dory at No. 1, while superheroes found a darker groove (the hard-R comedy Deadpool , the villain-driven Suicide Squad) and familiar franchises — Harry Potter, Star Wars — put down new roots. Before we toast the arrival of 2017, here’s a list of the biggest box-office winners and losers of 2016. WINNER: The Wonderful World of Disney Mickey Mouse had a good year. Five of the studio’s divisions (Disney, Marvel Studios, Pixar Animation Studios, Walt Disney Animation, and Lucasfilm) managed to crack 2016’s list of highest-grossing films, with Finding Dory at No. 1 with $486 million, Captain America: Civil War at No. 2 with $408 million, and The Jungle Book, Deadpool, Doctor Strange, Moana, and Rogue One al...

Deadpool 2 Needs A New Director

In a surprising development, director Tim Miller has departed Deadpool 2 due, according to Deadline, to creative differences with star Ryan Reynolds . The duo, of course, crafted the original Deadpool, which became a blockbuster beyond anyone's expectations. Of Miller, the site comments, "He hadn't formally signed a deal to continue, but he was developing the script and by all accounts had planned to return behind the camera." The departure was reportedly an amicable one, and Fox is intending on having Miller direct an adaptation of author David Suarez' Influx. The original Deadpool was produced on a $58 million budget and grossed $782 million. The sequel is expected in 2018. Please Leave A Comment- Source- Empire

#GeekFuel Review: May 2016

Geek Fuel's May release brings the geek, but still confuses. Review by Matt Cummings For the past few months, Geek Fuel has shown us something that we never thought would happen: improve the quality of its monthly items without raising the price. That represents a significant change in an industry where consistency has been a real problem. March and April showed us that change was coming, even if the boxes were such a mish-mash that theme could not be discerned. May does the same thing, continuing to expose GFs weak side of timing, but making a good case that they might have learned their lesson. Before diving in, let's review the details: The cost for a Month to Month is $17.90, $16.90/month for a 3-month subscription, $15.90/month for a 6-month tour and just $13.90/month for a one-year subscription. Shipping $6.00 to the US, Canada, and at least a few other countries. We use QUALITY and TIMING to base our reviews, so let's see how this box stands...

Hold onto your chimichangas, folks. From the studio that brought you all 3 Taken films comes DEADPOOL , the block-busting, fourth-wall-breaking masterpiece about Marvel Comics’ sexiest anti-hero: me! Directed by overpaid tool Tim Miller, and starring God’s perfect idiot Ryan Reynolds, Ed Skrein, Morena Baccarin, T.J. Miller and Gina Carano, DEADPOOL is a giddy slice of awesomeness packed with more twists than my enemies’ intestines and more action than prom night. Amazeballs! DEADPOOL will be available on Blu-ray and DVD May 10 from Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment. Please Leave A Comment-

#Deadpool Arrives On Blu-ray & DVD May 10th

After being diagnosed with cancer, he agrees to be part of an experimental project designed to turn him into a super soldier with accelerated healing and drug, toxin and disease resistance. (EXCLUSIVE): #BatmanvSuperman Dominates #BoxOffice, But...

...Darkseid might not be this superhero movie's greatest threat after all. Story by Matt Cummings It was a weekend for the box office history books, as Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice set several worldwide and domestic records, but slightly under-performed here in the States. Warner Bros on Monday reported that BVSDOJ took in a domestic total of $166m, establishing a new March opening weekend record and the largest Easter opening, besting the $147.1m brought in by Furious 7 last year. It's also the largest opening for a DC Comics film, a record previously held by The Dark Knight Rises ($160.8m). Such a premiere had been a foregone conclusion, based on the extra year Director Zack Snyder took to bring the film to audiences. But with all the celebration at WB's Burbank studios, there's probably a lot of worrying going on. Destroyed by critics (with only a 29% Rotten Tomatoes rating as of this posting) and netting only a "B" CinemaScore,...

Top Domestic Movies of 2016 - Q1 Report

Interesting lessons learned as Q1 ends down 7.4%. Story by Matt Cummings With the largest box office ever recorded now in the books, 2016 has always been viewed as the bastard stepchild, the fat kid someone has to pick because all the studs and girls are taken. After the close of Q1, that view is probably accurate. Note: The Winter Season is defined as the first day after New Year's week or weekend through the Thursday before the first Friday in March. According to our friends at BoxOfficeMojo.com, Quarter 1 of 2016 took in $1.0342 billion domestically, as compared to 2015's take of $1.1167b and 2014's $1.0992b. Here's the master list, but notice the problem. We'll share it afterwards: 1. Deadpool (Fox) $311,158,132 2. Kung Fu Panda 3 (Fox) $133,831,833 3. Ride Along 2 (Uni.) $89,514,865 4. 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi (Par.) $52,513,494 5. How to Be Single (WB) $43,318,465 6. Dirty Grandpa (LGF) $35,379,525 7. The Bo...

#MarvelCollectorCorps Review: February 2016

Marvel Collector Corps celebrates the release of Deadpool with a top-notch selection of foul-mouthed goodness. Review by Matt Cummings With our decision to abandon Loot Crate and our faith in Geek Fuel going month to month ), we're now fully invested in the odd-month releases, including Marvel Collector Corps. The reasons for our switching were simple, and have since formed the cornerstone of our review process: QUALITY and TIMING. This month's DEADPOOL theme are good examples of these benchmarks, strengthening our belief that the month-to-month model is on its way out. The Promise Before we begin, let's look at the deal again: promising a value of $50, the box would keep the "fluff" (their words) to a minimum with Funko partnering each time to deliver an exclusive figure. Joining at the Founders level would get you an 8" exclusive figure on your one-year anniversary, but you can also subscribe at the Collector level at $25 with $6.95 shi...
