Not content with the theatrical version and the home entertainment-based Super Duper Cut , Team Deadpool has been working for a while on a PG-13 edit of Deadpool 2 that is sliding onto screens in December. And now, thanks to writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, we know it won't just be a chopped up take on the movie, but will actually feature new footage. Letting slip to the team at Slashfilm , the pair explained that they wrote and shot (alongside director David Leitch) new material for this release. "We definitely shot new stuff," says Wernick. "And recently, too. After Deadpool 2 came out and we were all sitting around, we came to it less about the idea of let’s make a PG-13 movie and more, 'Let’s talk a little bit about Deadpool.'
