Trailer For MAPS TO THE STARS

Here is the trailer for David Cronenberg’s MAPS TO THE STARS . With this tale of a secret-filled Hollywood family on the verge of implosion, award-winning director David Cronenberg forges both a wicked social satire and a very human ghost story from our celebrity-obsessed culture. From a screenplay by acclaimed author, screenwriter and West Coast chronicler Bruce Wagner, and featuring an ensemble cast that includes Julianne Moore, Mia Wasikowska, John Cusack, Robert Pattinson, Olivia Williams and Sarah Gadon, MAPS TO THE STARS tours the seductive allure and the tender, darkly comic underbelly of contemporary success. Videodrome Remake On It's Way

Celebrated commercials helmer Adam Berg is in talks to make his feature directing debut on Videodrome , the remake of the 1983 David Cronenberg -directed film that is set up at Universal Pictures. Ehren Kruger scripted the remake and is producing with partner Daniel Bobker. Berg won the Film Grand Prix at the Cannes Lions International Advertising Festival for his Carousel ad for Philips, and has helmed numerous other commercials and short films. He is represented by CAA, Management 360 and attorney PJ Shapiro. Reno Malo will be exec producer. James Woods starred in the original Videodrome as the head of Civic TV Channel 83. He makes his station relevant by programming Videodrome, a series that depicts torture and murder that transfixes viewers. When Kruger and Bobker set it up at Universal, they planned to modernize the concept, infusing it with the possibilities of nano-technology and blow it up into a large-scale sci-fi action thriller. Keira Knightley To Star In "The Talking Cure"

Keira Knightley To Star In "The Talking Cure" Talk about your indie cast dream teams: Keira Knightley, Christoph Waltz and Michael Fassbender have all signed on to star in David Cronenberg's adaptation of The Talking Cure. It would appear that Cronenberg has shuffled his cinematic version of Christopher Hampton's play to the top of his active pile after thriller The Matarese Circle died in development when Tom Cruise opted to do something else instead. Now, though, Australian distributor Hopscotch has nabbed the rights to Cure and Cronenberg has lined up his impressive cast for a story that chronicles the fathers of psychoanalysis - that would be Sigmund Freud and Carl Jung - and their complex relationships with a beautiful patient. Bet Keira's playing Freud. It's been a long road for Cronenberg on this one - he's been attached since at least 2007, but now it looks like he'll finally be flying to Europe early next year to kick off shooting... James Whi

David Cronenberg To Remake "The Fly" Again

David Cronenberg To Remake "The Fly" Again I loved this movie as a kid. I still remember watching it over and over again. I couldn't get over the bathroom scene with his ear and also the monkey in the machine. Not so sure about remaking a movie that you already remade. Do we really need another remake of a remake? Looks like some might think that we do. The auteur is in talks to develop a reboot of the 1986 classic with Fox, the studio that released that film, writing and potentially directing the new pic. The move marks an about-face for the Canadian director, who in the past has said he did not want to be involved on a remake of the film. Cronenberg did work on an opera version of "The Fly" that was staged first in Paris and then in Los Angeles. The 1986 title, itself a remake of Kurt Neumann's 1958 sci-fi classic , starred Jeff Goldblum and became a huge hit for Fox, earning $40 million and turning into a phenomenon. It centered on Seth Brundle (Goldblu
