Arnold Schwarzenegger To Star In "478"

Deadline is reporting Arnold Schwarzenegger has found a project to follow Terminator Genisys . He has aligned himself to star in 478, a dark script by Javier Gullon, the Spanish writer best known for the Denis Villenueve-directed Enemy . That was an adaptation of the Jose Saramago classic novel The Double that Jake Gyllenhaal starred in. Darren Aronofsky’s Protozoa is producing and the aim is to shoot in the fall. In 478 , Schwarzenegger plays a man whose wife and child die in a plane crash. The tragedy was caused by an air traffic controller’s screw-up. The air traffic controller is vilified for his mistake and placed into protective custody. Schwarzenegger cannot let it go, and is determined to seek vengeance. Though is sounds like a standard revenge film, I’m told it isn’t. It is much more subtle than that — a real character piece more than an action film and gives Schwarzenegger a chance to show the chops he displayed on Maggie. Please Leave A Comment-

Anthony Hopkins Signs On For Noah

Though he already has the likes of Russell Crowe, Jennifer Connelly and Ray Winstone aboard Biblical epic Noah , Darren Aronofsky is finding room aboard the story for more top talent. The director has announced on Twitter that Anthony Hopkins has signed to play Methuselah . Hitting the social media network, Aronofsky tweeted, “I'm honoured to be working with the great sir Anthony Hopkins. We just added him to the stellar cast of Noah.” Methuselah is listed as the oldest person in the Bible, clocking in at the ripe old age of 969, and one of the people around shortly before the great flood that will most likely form the ticking clock threat of Aronofsky’s tale. We’ll be interested as to whether the director goes the Prometheus route with the character and slathers Hopkins in old man make-up, or whether he’s stick with the actors’ own gracefully aged mug and present Methuselah as looking great for his nearly-1,000-year age. The cast also includes Logan Lerman and Dougla...

Jennifer Connelly In Talks To Join Noah

In the midst of the various casting announcements for Darren Aronofsky’s ambitious attempt to make a film based on the Biblical tale of Noah , one role has been a sticking point – that of his wife. But though Jennifer Connelly’s name has cropped up more than once, she hasn’t been close to locked in until now, with Variety reporting that she’s in talks. It’s not yet a done deal for the actress, but it makes sense that she’d reunite with her Beautiful Mind co-star Russell Crowe and the director who worked with her on Requiem For A Dream . Though she’s probably thankful that there won’t be scenes requiring as much psychological preparation as the one near the end of Requiem. Nope, Noah will be more about chronicling how he's ordered by God to save two of every animal before he floods the Earth and wipes the place clear to start again. Noah himself is being portrayed as a man who loves the planet and his animals but disillusioned as to the way humanity has treated them. So f...

Emma Watson Could Star In "Noah"

Emma Watson is in talks to join Darren Aronofsky’s cast of Noah , which stars Russell Crowe as the Biblical ark builder. Watson is in discussions to play Ila, a young woman who develops a close relationship with Noah’s son, Shem. That role will be played by Douglas Booth, with Logan Lerman playing Noah’s other son, Ham. Still to be cast is Noah’s wife– Jennifer Connelly is one of the actresses in contention–and Noah’s nemesis. The film’s being co-financed by Paramount and New Regency. The Wolverine Sequel Is On The Way

After multiple delays and a high-profile change in directors, The Wolverine finally appears set to bare its claws. EW has confirmed that the sequel to 2009′s X-Men Origins: Wolverine is slated to hit theaters July 23, 2013, an indication that studio 20th Century Fox is reasonably confident that the film will start shooting this year. Just under a year ago, Darren Aronofsky bowed out of directing the project, citing concern that the film’s lengthy prospective shoot in Japan would keep him away from his family for too long. By June, James Mangold (3:10 to Yuma, Walk the Line) had been picked to replace him, but delays have pushed the film’s start date from last fall into this year. Jackman, meanwhile, recently concluded the Broadway run of his one man show, and he’s currently rehearsing for Tom Hooper’s big screen adaptation of Les Misérables , which begins production in March. Dwayne Johnson & Taylor Lautner Could Star In Goliath

Is the world ready for the return of the Biblical epic? Because it's coming. Darren Aronofsky has been in the news plenty in recent days with his ambitious Noah project while on a much more mainstream Hollywood front director Scott Derrickson (The Exorcism Of Emily Rose, The Day The Earth Stood Still) was attached earlier this year to direct Goliath for Relativity Media and Temple Hill Entertainment. If you're going to tell the story of the giant versus the shepherd boy you'd best find yourself an impressive giant and it would appear that Relativity have done just that with sources telling Twitch that they are now in talks with Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson to fill the role. As for the other side of the standoff things are not as advanced but word is that an offer has been made to Taylor Lautner to fill the part of David , which comes as no surprise given that Twilight producers Marty Bowen and Wyck Godfrey are also involved in this project. Human Nature For George Clooney & Darren Aronofsky

Two months after Darren Aronofsky announced that he wouldn’t be making The Wolverine , Vulture has learned that the Black Swan director has set his sights on a new film: a fifteen-year-old original sci-fi spec script called Human Nature by a little-known screenwriter named Jeff Welch. George Clooney is attaching himself to star as a man who is cryogenically frozen and wakes up years later to a world in which humans have become pets of another species. Insiders tell us that Warner Bros.–based producer Akiva Goldsman (I Am Legend) is currently budgeting the movie, but if things go to plan, this would likely be Aronofsky’s next project. Darren Aronofsky Will Not Direct The Wolverine Sequel

Darren Aronofsky is bowing out of directing 20th Century Fox’s sequel The Wolverine , saying the project would keep him out of the country for too long. Fox and Hugh Jackman - who is set to return in the title role - said they remain fully committed to making Wolverine and will move aggressively to find a new director. Fox hadn’t yet greenlit the sequel. A significant portion of the movie will be shot overseas (there had been plans to shoot in Japan). "As I talked more about the film with my collaborators at Fox, it became clear that the production of The Wolverine would keep me out of the country for almost a year,” Aronofsky said in a joint statement with Fox. “I was not comfortable being away from my family for that length of time. I am sad that I won't be able to see the project through, as it is a terrific script and I was very much looking forward to working with my friend, Hugh Jackman, again,” he continued. Stated Fox: “While we are of course disappointed th...

Exclusive Interview With Kristina Anapau, She Talks Black Swan & Superman Reboot

I had the chance to get an Exclusive Interview with Kristina Anapau last week and get some insight to how she prepared for her role in Black Swan . I also tried to twist her arm for more information about the rumors about her auditioning for the upcoming SuperMan reboot . Kristina had planned to become a classical ballerina, having trained seriously since the age of 5. But after graduating from high school at fifteen (Yes 15) she attended the University of Hawaii at Mānoa, where she was discovered and cast in an Oahu-filmed television movie Escape From Atlantis; that was the start of her career. She made her rounds on to Television shows ( CSI: NY,House ) and smaller movie roles, then she was cast in Cruel Intentions 3 (Cassidy Merteuil). Next up was a staring role in the Wes Craven Horror film Cursed starring opposite Shannon Elizabeth, Jesse Eisenberg and Milo Ventimiglia. Anapau was a cover model for Stuff magazine. She was also one of Stuff magazine's "103 Sexies...
