The Legend Ends- New Dark Knight Rises Poster

THE DARK KNIGHT RISES is the final film for director Christopher Nolan and Christian Bale . Focusing naturally on Tom Hardy’s Bane , the big villain of Chris Nolan’s next – and, as driven home by the tagline here, final – Batventure, the poster is a moody, atmospheric piece featuring the brute walking away from a shattered Bat mask. Suggesting, to us at least, that the movie should really have been called The Dark Knight Has A Bad Time Of It And Gets The Living Snot Beaten Out Of Him. But we’re not sure that would fit on most marquees. See the entire poster after the Jump... Please Leave A Comment- Source- Empire

Christian Bale Talks "End Of That Batman Era" & Casting Of The Film

In a recent interview , Warner Bros.' reigning Batman, Christian Bale , confirmed that Christopher Nolan's upcoming The Dark Knight Rises will be his final turn in the superhero's cape. "I wrapped a few days ago so that will be the last time I'm taking that cowl off," Bale said in an interview with the Philippine Daily Inquirer . "I believe the whole production wrapped yesterday, so it's all done. Everything's finished. It's me and Chris - that will be the end of that Batman era." Nostalgia aside, Bale also discussed the fresh faces Batman fans will be seeing when The Dark Knight Rises opens July 20, 2012. He gave his stamp of approval to Anne Hathaway 's portrayal of Catwoman in the film. “I had plenty of scenes with Anne,” said the actor. “And I was there when we did the screen test for her. DARK KNIGHT RISES 6 Minute PROLOGOUE Description

RAMA got an e-mail this fine Monday morning from a source that claimed he had seen the 6-minute prologue of THE DARK KNIGHT RISES ’ and he’s also got details on BANE, played in the film by Tom Hardy. Take it with a grain of salt.. Bane in THE DARK KNIGHT RISES Nolan has significantly rewrote the story of Bane from the comics. He is raised by Ra’s al Ghul and his up bringing mirrors that of Bruce Wayne. It’s a mirror of Bruce, except it’s darker and twisted. Bane is trained to be an assassin for the League of Shadows. He kills political figures that are deemed unfit by the LOS. So he is a bit of a Che Guevara/ Jason Bourne type character. A revolutionary and an assassin. He comes to Gotham to start a revolution by revealing the cover up dealing with Harvey Dent and killing the Mayor, among other key political figures. DESCRIPTION OF THE 6- minute  PROLOGOUE Read more after the Jump... It is one of the assassinations ordered by Ra’s al Ghul. A mind blowing action sequence se

Tom Hardy Talks Bane "He's brutal. Brutal"

You've seen the new Empire covers with Batman and Bane, but here's a sneak peek at some of the news on The Dark Knight Rises inside the magazine. Specifically, Nolan himself gives away a few tidbits on the film's plot and setting, and Tom Hardy talks about Bane. Let's hear from director Christopher Nolan first, and see what he'll divulge about the film. "It's really all about finishing Batman and Bruce Wayne's story. We left him in a very precarious place. Perhaps surprisingly for some people, our story picks up quite a bit later, eight years after The Dark Knight. So he's an older Bruce Wayne; he's not in a great state. "With Bane, we're looking to give Batman a challenge he hasn't had before. With our choice of villain and with our choice of story we're testing Batman both physically as well as mentally." Speaking of physical challenges, what can Tom Hardy tell us about Bane ? "He's brutal. Brutal. He

Val Kilmer The Best Batman Ever According To Joel Schumacher

Earlier this week, IFC spoke to " Trespass " director Joel Schumacher about Christopher Nolan 's record-breaking run with Batman -- a character near and dear to his heart after he made not one but two films featuring the DC Comics icon. While Schumacher's first adventure with Batman was a box-office success -- 1995's " Batman Forever " -- his 1997 " Batman & Robin " sequel didn't fare as well. Along with near-universal negative reviews, the film failed to perform at the box office and eventually became known as the film that "killed" the Batman franchise (until Nolan came along, of course). "Sequels are made for one reason," Schumacher told IFC during an interview promoting his new film "Trespass" with Nicolas Cage. "Because 'Batman Forever' was an unexpected sensation, and the second-biggest grossing movie for the whole year, and everyone made so much money out of 'Batman Forever,&#

First Look At Superman's Full Costume & 1st Image Of Faora & Zod

Remember that first, official photo of Henry Cavill as Superman in the upcoming movie Man of Steel ? While it wasn't clear from that shot whether or not Cavill was wearing the traditional red underpants, some new photos seem to have settled the matter. A series of pictures taken on the set and posted at the Man of Steel Facebook page appear to show quite definitively that Cavill is not wearing the red trunks that have been part of Superman's costume since the very beginning. So now we can guess why that initial photo deliberately kept Kal-El's mid-section in the shadows—director Zack Snyder and the film's producers (which include Christopher Nolan) wanted to keep the full costume a mystery and not necessarily set off alarm bells with Superman purists. Of course, it's not just the new movie that's messing with the Man of Steel's iconic outfit: DC Comics has also revealed that Superman's red underwear is going to be a thing of the past when the p

Anne Hathaway Gives Some Insight To Catwoman's New Look

Following the totally mixed bag of reactions to that first Catwoman pic we showed you last week, Anne Hathaway —who plays the sexy, leather-clad cat burglar in Christopher Nolan's upcoming final Batman film, The Dark Knight Rises —is speaking up, reminding us that we've only just seen a tiny bit of the costume behind that Batpod. In an interview with MTV , the actress addressed those lukewarm reactions head-on and said: "I was not going to admit it: I asked someone to send me a few reactions, and I happen to know that MTV's reaction was 'meh.'" Then the actress added: "What I am happy to say is, if you didn't like the photo, you only see about a 10th of what that suit can do, and if you did like the photo, you have excellent taste." Heck, we really want to see what that Catwoman suit can do now! Maybe it'll be like a Swiss army knife with a lot of cool stuff hidden inside. In the meanwhile, all we can do is sit here and hope i

First Official Picture Of Anne Hathaway As Catwoman

Yesterday Warner Bros. released the first image of Henry Cavill As Superman , and today they  released the first image of Anne Hathaway as Catwoman . JustJared as got their hands on some spy photos of Hathaway's stunt double shooting a scene from the movie. I didn't know that Trinity from the Matrix had a twin sister? Not that I am complaining. As a blogger I really wish sometimes they would not release photos from upcoming films. Where is the surprise when you go watch the movie? See more images after the Jump... Henry Cavill As Superman. First Official Picture From The Man Of Steel

It won't hit screens until 2013, but here's your first sneak peek at Henry Cavill as the Man Of Steel , in Zack Snyder's new take on Superman. It's immediately apparent that the primary colors of the costume have been slightly toned down, and that this is one Kryptonian not afraid of getting his hands dirty. But some things don't change; he's clearly still capable of crumpling a bank vault up like a normal man crumples unwanted sheets of paper. The film also stars Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Kevin Costner and Diane Lane as the Kent parents, Julia Ormond and Russell Crowe as his Kryptonian parents, Michael Shannon as fellow Kryptonian General Zod and Laurence Fishburne as Perry White, editor of the Daily Planet. Harry Lennix, Antje Traue and Christopher Meloni also star. Christopher Nolan is producing, as well as having worked on the story with David S. Goyer, who then wrote the script. We can expect to see the finished piece on or around June 14, 2013 - so exp

Laurence Fishburne To Play Perry White In Man of Steel

EW is reporting that Laurence Fishburne will play Daily Planet editor-in-chief Perry White in Man of Steel , White has traditionally been a hard-charging, old fashioned newspaperman, who relies on his ace reporters, Clark and Lois, to get the big scoop. Jackie Cooper played White in the Christopher Reeve-era Superman films, and Frank Langella took on the role in director Bryan Singer’s Superman Returns in 2006. The casting resolves the question of what Laurence would be up to following his departure this May from CBS’ long-running CSI after just over two seasons. (Ted Danson will take Fishburne’s place on the show this fall.) The Superman reboot, produced by Christopher Nolan and directed by Zack Snyder, stars Henry Cavill as Clark (a.k.a. Superman), Amy Adams as Lois, Michael Shannon as General Zod, Kevin Costner as Jonathan Kent, and Diane Lane as Martha Kent. David Goyer (Batman Begins) is penning the script. Man of Steel is due to begin filming this fall, and is s

Tom Hardy As Bane And More Set Photos

Today we have some spoilers pictures from the set of The Dark Knight Rises . Just Jared has our first look at Bane played by Tom Hardy . What do you guys think? Next up Millionaire Playboy , CBS Pittsburgh , and postgazette  via ramascreen   we have a bunch of behind the scene photos showing Marion Cotillard, Gary Oldman and director Christopher Nolan on set. Thanks to the movie magic employed by the makers of the Batman film “The Dark Knight Rises,” one block in Lawrenceville was immune from the heat, humidity and intermittent showers that fell Friday afternoon. On 41st Street between Butler and Foster streets, director Christopher Nolan was on-site to oversee the film’s first day of shooting in Pittsburgh. Under his watchful eye, dozens of cargo-short clad staffers converted picturesque row house No. 170 into the home of a Gotham City judge, played by Brett Cullen. Piles of fake snow dotted the sidewalks, and black canvas drapes and heavy-duty screens blotted
