BOB MARLEY: ONE LOVE Featurette

Wishlist Of Actress Up For The Role Of Lois Lane

Now that Zach Snyder and Christopher Nolan have settled on Henry Cavill for their Man of Steel, the question remains: Who'll play the dazzling urbanite journalist who'll capture his heart? We put together a list of eight potential leading ladies. The Daily Planet's second-most-famous reporter has been played lots of ways over the years: From the screwball comedy of Margot Kidder in 1978's Superman to the flighty no-way-we're-buying-that-you-won-a-Pulitzer daffiness of Kate Bosworth in 2006's Superman Returns. But Ms. Lane needs to have two qualities: the restless intelligence of a killer newshound and an inner tenacity. Which of today's actresses can fit the bill? Here are some contenders: KRISTINA ANAPAU Resume: Black Swan, Self Medicated, Cursed She is relatively unknown the actress had her big break this year starring Black Swan. I had a chance to talk to her which she did give me a tease about the role. Interview will be up this weekend.

Christian Bale Up For Another Batman Film

This may not come as a huge surprise but it does come straight from the horse's mouth: Christian Bale , talking to Empire last month, said that The Dark Knight Rises will be his last Batman movie...probably. "All I know is the likelihood that this will be the last one," says the star. " Well, I wouldn't say definitely . If Chris goes, 'Hey, I've got another story I think could be interesting,' then yeah, great, I'd go do that . I always assumed it would be three, but I could be wrong. I don't know if there's something wrong with me, but I don't feel any pressure." Nolan's on record as saying that the next film will be the last chapter in his Batman franchise, so we're going to assume that's it, but hey! It's nice that Bale isn't locking anything out. It's clear throughout our interview that he and Christopher Nolan continue to enjoy a great relationship, and also that Bale's looking forward to the

Anne Hathaway & Tom Hardy Nab Roles In The Dark Knight Rises

Anne Hathaway has nabbed the coveted female lead opposite Christian Bale in Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight Rises . Warner Bros. made the announcement Wednesday morning. The studio also revealed which character Tom Hardy , who joined the cast last fall, will play: Bane . Bane, a man who spent his whole life in prison, was a test subject for a drug that gave him increased strength, although he also became addicted to that drug. As opposed to some of the more classic villains that have populated the Batman movies, Bane is a more recent creation (1993) and is best known for a story where he broke Batman’s back, leaving the hero a paraplegic . “I am delighted to be working with Tom again and excited to watch him bring to life our new interpretation of one of Batman’s most formidable enemies,” Nolan said in a statement. Hathaway was on the the list of actresses which tested for the role in recent weeks, along with Jessica Biel and Keira Knightley, as revealed by Heat Vi

Hathaway,Knightley,Mara,Arterton, Biel Testing For The Dark Knight Rises

Christopher Nolan is looking at some of Hollywood's leading actresses -- as well as a few emerging talents -- for major female roles in The Dark Knight Rises , his next Batman film. Sources tell Heat Vision that Keira Knightley, Anne Hathaway and Jessica Biel are due to test for roles in the Warner Bros. superhero tentpole in the next two weeks. Also testing are relative newcomers Kate Mara and Charlotte Riley . Hot British actress Gemma Arterton has also scheduled to test but, Arterton just landed the female lead in Paramount's Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters and might now have scheduling issues. Dark Knight Rises needs to fill two big female roles, a villain and a love interest. Sources say one character is Talia , the daughter of villain Ra's Al Ghul , who was portrayed by Liam Neeson in Nolan's first Gotham-set crime pic Batman Begins. In the comic books, Talia is both Batman's lover and antagonist, ultimately siring his alter ego Bruce Wayne's

The Dark Knight Rises Heath Ledger Rumor

Joker Will Not Appear In "The Dark Knight Rises" Heath Ledger will not appear in The Dark Knight Rises . And we heard it from director Christopher Nolan himself. At an awards season party last night for Inception, we asked the filmmaker about a report on a New Zealand website saying that Nolan and Warner Bros. were thinking of inserting unused footage of Ledger as the Joker into the movie. As with anything connected to Batman and Nolan, the rumor quickly spread around the globe. But Nolan and his wife/producing partner Emma Thomas both swatted down the rumor to Heat Vision in a chat last night. “I heard the rumor,” said Thomas. “We’re not doing that.” Nolan also denied that Ledger would show up in the new film. The script isn’t even completed yet, he said, and Nolan believes that Ledger’s performance as the Joker should be contained to the 2008 movie. Please Leave A Comment- Source- THR

Zack Snyder To Direct Superman Movie

Zack Snyder To Direct Superman Movie Updated: Zack Snyder just tweeted this on his twitter account. Can u Guess what picture? @ZackSnyder: I finally get to put my 32 cents in... Zack Snyder has been chosen to direct the new Superman movie, which Christopher Nolan is producing for Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures. Negotiations began earlier today. Snyder had been on the list of helmers ensconced in meetings with Nolan and Warners execs, who in recent weeks have talked to Darren Aronofsky, Ben Affleck, Matt Reeves and Tony Scott . The job was so coveted that even Robert Zemeckis , retired to the world of performance capture, considered returning to live-action filmmaking in order to nab the gig. A new Superman movie is one of the studio's top priorities, not only since it serves as linchpin for its line of DC superhero-based films, but especially since Warners needs to be in production on a new Superman movie by 2011 or risk losing certain copyrights to the heirs

Christopher Nolan Set For Batman 3

Christopher Nolan Set For Batman 3 You may have guessed, you may have assumed it, but until now we hadn't had confirmation from the studio or the man himself that Christopher Nolan would be back to direct Batman 3 / The Dark Knight 2 (or whatever we're calling it). "It’s becoming inevitable, I’ll put it that way," says Nolan. "I feel myself falling into it, I guess. And getting it all figured out and I’m pretty excited about what we’re doing so… If I haven’t announced it, I think that people probably all know at this point that I’m doing it." Hang on, that's not 100% clear: so we can safely assume you're directing? "I think you can at this point, yes." So as of right now, Nolan will return. You may also have spotted the "getting it all figured out" there: when we asked Nolan what he was busy with as we called, the answer was that he's working on Jonathan Nolan's script for the film. In other words, there is a scr

Inception Is On Top Again For Third Week

Inception Is On Top Again For Third Week It looked like Dinner for Schmucks might actually be enough to topple the current box office champion, Inception. But by the end of play Sunday, Christopher Nolan’s Cobb and the team pulled off another victory to give the dream thieves a third week atop the charts in the States, Inception nabbing $27.5 million and the Schmucks running away with $23.3 million. Salt slipped down to third place, taking $19.2 million, while Despicable Me stole $15.5 million for fourth. But even the kiddie/3D cash boost factor couldn’t save Cats & Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore , with the animal spies sequel bringing in just $12.5 million, which hopefully means this might be the end for the franchise. That said, given the nine-year wait between the first two, maybe we should be wary that, like a horror movie villain, another one could spring up in a decade. Zac Efron won’t be too thrilled either: his latest stab at grown-up filmmaking respecta

INCEPTION Review by Windy City Gal

INCEPTION Review by Windy City Gal (@ rosenfie ) “ Inception ,” directed by Christopher Nolan (“The Dark Night”) and starring Leonardo DiCaprio (“Shutter Island), Joseph Gordon-Levitt (“500 Days of Summer) and Ellen Page (“Juno”) is a trippy, futuristic story where people have the ability to insert themselves into people’s dreams to extract or add information. Cobb ( DiCaprio ), a skilled extractor who is desperate to get home to his children, takes on one last job that will free him from the fugitive lifestyle he’s earned as a dream-thief. To complete this task, DiCaprio works with a dream architect ( Page) to develop the perfect setting for inception and joins forces with his usual cohort ( Gordon-Levitt ), a chemist and other invaluable team members. The inception takes the team on an around-the-world journey, both in life and in dreams, ful

Rediscovering the Essential Superman By:jonathancyfer

Rediscovering the Essential Superman By:jonathancyfer We want to welcome guest writer jonathancyfer to the site and we are looking forward to adding him to our sandwich family. In a recent interview with Empire magazine, Christopher Nolan (Batman Begins, The Dark Knight) discussed his role as " mentor " for the upcoming Superman film reboot , scheduled for release during the 2012 holiday season. One of the most widely circulated statements made by Nolan was: "What you have to remember with both Batman and Superman, is that what makes those the best superhero characters there are, the most beloved after all this time, is the essence of who those characters were when they were created and when they were first developed. And you can't ever move too far from that." There is a tremendous amount of speculation regarding what form the new Superman film will take. Assuming that Nolan will have more than a passing amount of influence on the movie franchise's r

Christopher Nolan Talks Superman Reboot

Christopher Nolan Talks Superman Reboot In the latest issue of Empire magazine Christopher Nolan had comments to share on David S. Goyer and the upcoming Superman reboot he's penning and producing. Nolan had this to say; “..What it is, while David Goyer and myself were putting together the story for another Batman film a few years ago, you know thrashing out where we might move on from the Dark Knight, we got stuck. We were just sitting there idly chatting and he said ”by the way, I think I know how you approach Superman”.. and he told me his take on it. I thought it was really tremendous. It was the first time I’ve been able to conceive of how you’d address Superman in a modern context I thought it was a really exciting idea. What you have to remember about Batman and Superman is that what makes them the best superhero characters there are, the most beloved after all this time, is the essence of who they were when they were created, when they were first developed. You can’

Christopher Nolan Talks Superman Reboot And Batman 3

Christopher Nolan Talks Superman Reboot And Batman 3 Great day over here since director Christopher Nolan would serve as a mentor figure on the new Superman reboot films, and that he is finally moving forward with Batman 3. And we get some details on his upcoming projects.La Times did an interview with Nolan recently. Here is what he said about Batman 3 and how the third film will end the franchise. Without getting into specifics, the key thing that makes the third film a great possibility for us is that we want to finish our story, and in viewing it as the finishing of a story rather than infinitely blowing up the balloon and expanding the story. We have a great ensemble, that's one of the attractions of doing another film, since we've been having a great time for years. Chirs Nolan said that Batman 3 is being written by his brother Jonathan. And let us know that his brother is having a hard time to put together an epic story. I’m very excited about the end of the fil
