BOB MARLEY: ONE LOVE Featurette

Movie Review: I SAW THE LIGHT

RAMA is back at it again. It's more about Tom Hiddleston and Elizabeth Olsen I SAW THE LIGHT is a performance-driven biopic. Tom Hiddleston transformed himself into the late great Hank Williams, and Elizabeth Olsen holds her ground, these two amazing talents burn the screen with such passion and ferocity. The film however is just textbook biopic, nothing that you haven’t already seen before. It’s well-intentioned but at the end of the day, Marc Abraham’s adaption is uninspired. I SAW THE LIGHT essentially is the story of the legendary country western singer Hank Williams, one all-time greats in American music. Starring Tom Hiddleston and Elizabeth Olsen, I SAW THE LIGHT chronicles Hank’s rise to fame which has tragic effect on his health and personal life. Please keep in mind that I didn’t grow up a fan of country music, I don’t hate it, I appreciate it but I don’t have huge country music encyclopedia to discern on whether or not Tom Hiddleston’s performance as H

New Trailer For #ISAWTHELIGHT Starring Tom Hiddleston As Hank Williams

Tom Hiddleston as country music legend Hank Williams in I SAW THE LIGHT . Marc Abraham directing the script he wrote, which in turn adapted Colin Escott’s biography of the man who scored hits with songs such as ‘Your Cheatin’ Heart’, ‘I’m So Lonesome I Could Cry’ and ‘Lovesick Blues’. Williams, who died in 1953, is still considered one of the most significant country music artists and rose quickly, burned brightly and died at the age of 29 from heart failure brought on by pills and alcohol. The likes of Elizabeth Olsen, David Krumholtz, Casey Bond, Bradley Whitford, Maddie Hasson, Cherry Jones, Josh Pais and Wrenn Schmidt are also in the movie, Please Leave A Comment-

First Clip From 'I Saw the Light' Starring Tom Hiddleston As Hank Williams

Tom Hiddleston as country music legend Hank Williams is a pretty enticing proposition. The Brit takes on the iconic role in Marc Abraham’s “ I Saw the Light ,” which is set for a world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival this week. Hiddleston debuted the first clip from the film himself via Twitter. It features Williams at a 1947 recording session of “Move It on Over” before transitioning to life at home with wife Audrey Mae ( Elizabeth Olsen , who I hear is also exceptional in the film). Abraham is best known for his work as a producer on films such as “Bring It On,” “Spy Game” and “The Last Exorcism.” He’s seven years removed from his directorial debut, “Flash of Genius,” another biopic. Hiddleston can also be seen in Toronto selection “High-Rise” from director Ben Wheatley. He’ll be hitting theaters next month with Guillermo del Toro’s “Crimson Peak.” Watch the clip after the Jump... It gives me great pleasure to introduce the first clip from I SAW THE L

Casey Bond Interview We Talk Moneyball, Oscars And How It Feels To Be A Star

To say a movie you had a huge roll in is nominated? I can't tell you how thankful I am to be in a film like Moneyball, which is actually up for 6 different Academy Awards! Michael Lewis's Liar's Poker Headed To Warner Bros.

In the wake of the $20 million opening weekend for the film based on his Moneyball , author Michael Lewis is taking a much more active role in the what could be the next film based on one of his books. Lewis has been tapped by Warner Bros. to write a script based on Liar's Poker , his classic 1989 account of working as a bond trader at Salomon Brothers in the go-go '80s. “I’m going to spend the next two months doing that,” Lewis tells The Hollywood Reporter. Moneyball Review - In addition, John Requa and Glenn Ficarra (Crazy, Stupid, Love) have come aboard to direct the film. Bill Gerber is producing and Courtenay Valenti is overseeing the film for Warners. Lewis, the author of several nonfiction bestsellers, is a hot commodity in Hollywood following the success of The Blind Side and Moneyball. Liar's Poker, Lewis' first book, has been in development at Warners since the early 1990s. The property picked up momentum recently as Lewis’ star has risen and the eco

Moneyball Movie Review By: Rama

Moneyball Movie Review By: Rama Let's see if Rama thought Moneyball hit it out of the park or not. Enjoy his review and make sure to follow him on Facebook and Twitter . I don’t know if I’d call MONEYBALL a baseball movie because it’s more about the business or the dealings behind it and in that sense, the concept could apply to other sports. Which is great because you don’t have to grow up liking baseball to enjoy MONEYBALL, which by the way is one of the best films of 2011 in my book. Columbia Pictures, the force behind last year’s smart dialogue film, The Social Network, has done it again, obviously because Sorkin reworked the script. But the film’s comparison to The Social Network may also be a factor, on top of public’s opinion on Pitt ’s recent comment about Jen Aniston, that could hurt MONEYBALL’s chances at the box office. That said, this film is funny, it’s engaging, it’s got similar excitement and intensity that you’d usually expect to happen on wall street flo
