Edward James Olmos to Join SHIELD

The ABC show continues to improve its cast with the commander of The Galactica. Story by Matt Cummings It's not every day that you get to see a television show grow into something of true quality. Such is the case for ABC/Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. , a show maligned in the first half of its first season with poor writing and utterly forgettable characters. But that all changed with Captain America: The Winter Solider , blowing the Marvel Cinematic Universe wide open and pitting our heroes against Hydra and the U.S. government The show has also benefitted from a serious injection of new and exciting taken, from BJ Brit to Adrianne Palicki. Recently, the show also added veteran Blair Underwood to play May's ex -, and now we've learned about yet another signing that could be the biggest so far Battlestar Galactica alum Edward James Olmos has signed on to play Robert Gonzalez, who's been promised to play a large role in Season 2.5. In fact Marvel's

Read on to learn which role the Ironside actor has accepted. With Marvel's Agents of SHIELD on break until March 3rd, we'll soon see the 8-part series Agent Carter take its place. And while the show concluded with what most agree was as strong an episode as they've ever made ( read our review ), they certainly aren't looking back. The series is moving forward by not just picking up the loose papers ala Captain America: The Winter Solider , it's establishing all-new faces for its second half. According to THR, Blair Underwood will be joining the show's cast, which begins shooting new scenes this week. Underwood, who resume includes the very good ( LA Law) and the frankly awful ( Ironside ) will play Doctor Andrew Garner, who is Agent Melinda May's ex-husband. "The Event' Episode 2 “To Keep Us Safe” Review

"The Event' Episode 2 “To Keep Us Safe” Review By: Jason Albrecht Everything I felt the pilot lacked, the second episode delivered. My doubt was lifted, and I smiled while I watched. There was intensity. There was mystery. There were answers. The story moved forward as it bounced back and forth though time. It was good, damn good. It seems the imprisoned mysterious strangers were not alone; there were others of their kind that have now integrated with society, and they don’t all agree with their leader, Sophia. They may be E.T.’s. Not the Reese’s pieces eating long-necked kind, but the mostly human less than 1 percent genetic difference kind. Curious? “The Event” is showing the potential to be a great show. It isn’t my number one must see of the week yet, but it definitely will be a contender if it keeps improving week to week. Please Leave A Comment-

Jason first review is of the highly anticipated NBC show The Event . Please Note-Spolier Alert I want to like this show. A lot. There is a void in my TV watching where Lost once stood. Granted Lost kind of lost it in the middle, but it picked back up and finished strong. I thought Flash Forward would take over this season, but it was canceled
