Boba Fett will have a small part to play in
The Mandalorian Season 2, and it will be
Morrison under the helmet – fitting, seeing as Boba was a younger clone of Jango. That in itself throws forth plenty of questions – with Boba Fett falling head-first into the Sarlacc Pit in Return Of The Jedi, several years before The Mandalorian takes place, will he be revealed to have secretly survived that fate? Could his appearance be part of a flashback? Or could it actually be yet another clone? Jango’s DNA formed the basis for an entire clone army back in the Prequel era, so there’s likely to be plenty of remnants of his genetic code lying around the galaxy far, far away.
We’ll find out exactly how Boba Fett (if that is indeed who Morrison will play) becomes part of The Mandalorian story when the second season arrives on Disney+. It’s currently scheduled to launch this October – and while the season had reportedly wrapped production, it remains to be seen whether it will be among the many projects delayed by the Coronavirus pandemic.
