BOB MARLEY: ONE LOVE Featurette

Alamo Drafthouse Presents First to Last Blood: RAMBO Marathons Across the Country

Austin-based cinema-eatery Alamo Drafthouse Cinema is celebrating one of America's greatest cultural icons and cinema’s greatest action franchises with an explosive RAMBO five-film marathon event at twenty-three locations across the country. Audiences will go from first to last blood, beginning with 1982’s FIRST BLOOD, then continuing with RAMBO: FIRST BLOOD PART II (1985), RAMBO III (1988), RAMBO (2008), and then concluding with the new Lionsgate/Millennium Media blockbuster finale, RAMBO: LAST BLOOD.

“This marathon is for the ultimate Rambo fan,” says Alamo Drafthouse Programmer Cristina Cacioppo. “And there’ll be so much to see – the thoughtful drama of FIRST BLOOD, the action spectacle of the middle installments, and finally, how it comes to an end in LAST BLOOD.”

Opening in theaters from Lionsgate in association with Millennium Media nationwide on September 20th, RAMBO: LAST BLOOD picks up almost four decades after the events of FIRST BLOOD, with Sylvester Stallone reprising his iconic role as Vietnam vet John Rambo. LAST BLOOD finds Rambo confronting his past and unearthing his ruthless combat skills to exact revenge in a final mission and, quite likely, the last chapter of the legendary series. The film also stars Paz Vega, Sergio Peris-Mencheta, Adrianna Barraza, Yvette Monreal, Genie Kim aka Yenah Han, Joaquin Cosio, and Oscar Jaenada.

Tickets to the RAMBO Marathon are available here and at drafthouse.com

RAMBO: LAST BLOOD is directed by Adrian Grunberg from a screenplay by Matthew Cirulnick and Sylvester Stallone. The story is by Dan Gordon and Sylvester Stallone based on characters created by David Morrell. The film is produced by Avi Lerner, Kevin King Templeton, Yariv Lerner, Les Weldon and Rob Van Norden.

Naked Gun Reboot On It's Way

If you've seen Naked Gun - or The Naked Gun: From The Files Of Police Squad ! to give its full title - you'll know that it's a comedic masterpiece that springboards off astonishing levels of silliness and random spoofery. Leslie Nielsen's Frank Drebin is a loveable buffoon for the ages, even when he's discussing his dicky prostrate. Do not, however, expect the Ed Helms -starring reboot to adopt exactly the same tack. According to Naked Gun director/co-writer David Zucker, talking up Airplane!'s screening at Nashville's Wild West Comedy Festival, the new version will not attempt to hit the same spoofy sweet spot as the Zuckers and Jim Abrahams' 1988 comedy. "It won’t be like the Naked Gun that I did," Zucker revealed. "It may be good, but it won’t be that kind of movie. They’re going to use the title. They asked me if I wanted to produce. They’re nice people, but they don’t want to do that style of spoof that I do." One departure...
