Cinedigm presents THE HEYDAY OF THE INSENSITIVE BASTARDS starring James Franco (This is the End), Kate Mara (The Martian), Natalie Portman (Jackie), Rico Rodriguez (Modern Family), Abigail Spencer (Mad Men), Amber Tamblyn (Django Unchained), Thomas Mann (Kong: Skull Island) and Kristen Wiig (Ghostbusters).



Based on short stories from Robert Boswell’s critically acclaimed book of the same name, THE HEYDAY OF THE INSENSITIVE BASTARDS explores the difference between fantasy and reality, memory and history, and the joy and agony of the human condition, through seven tales. The result is an ambitious series of vignettes ranging from comical to bittersweet to poignant.

Produced by Elysium Bandini Studios in conjunction with UCLA’s School of Theater, Film and Television, this project was directed by students Mark Columbus, Lauren Hoekstra, Sarah Kruchowski, Ryan Moody, Simon Savelyev, Vanita Shastry, Shadae Lamar Smith, Jeremy David White and Jonathan King. Elysium Bandini Studios is a non-profit film studio that supports the film projects of students with proceeds going entirely to Art of Elysium, a non-profit benefiting artistic workshops in acting, art, comedy, fashion, music, song writing and creative writing.

HEYDAY OF THE INSENSITIVE BASTARDS has a theatrical release date of October 27, 2017. Also releasing on Digital & On Demand on the same day.

Naked Gun Reboot On It's Way

If you've seen Naked Gun - or The Naked Gun: From The Files Of Police Squad ! to give its full title - you'll know that it's a comedic masterpiece that springboards off astonishing levels of silliness and random spoofery. Leslie Nielsen's Frank Drebin is a loveable buffoon for the ages, even when he's discussing his dicky prostrate. Do not, however, expect the Ed Helms -starring reboot to adopt exactly the same tack. According to Naked Gun director/co-writer David Zucker, talking up Airplane!'s screening at Nashville's Wild West Comedy Festival, the new version will not attempt to hit the same spoofy sweet spot as the Zuckers and Jim Abrahams' 1988 comedy. "It won’t be like the Naked Gun that I did," Zucker revealed. "It may be good, but it won’t be that kind of movie. They’re going to use the title. They asked me if I wanted to produce. Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania Trailer

In the film, which officially kicks off phase 5 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Super-Hero partners Scott Lang ( Paul Rudd ) and Hope Van Dyne ( Evangeline Lilly ) return to continue their adventures as Ant-Man and the Wasp. Together, with Hope’s parents Hank Pym (Michael Douglas) and Janet Van Dyne ( Michelle Pfeiffer ), the family finds themselves exploring the Quantum Realm, interacting with strange new creatures and embarking on an adventure that will push them beyond the limits of what they thought was possible.
