BOB MARLEY: ONE LOVE Featurette

"THE SANDMAN" Trailer & Release Date Starring @officialtobin & @HaylieDuff

It's a rare occurrence (in fact, almost never) that creative legend Stan Lee (The Avengers, Iron Man, Guardians of the Galaxy) produces an original movie but this is the case with the compelling thriller, The Sandman, an original horror movie for television premiering on SyFy next month on Saturday, October 14th at 9PM. Executive produced by Lee alongside Gill Champion, Barry Barnholtz (Leprechaun), and Jeffrey Schenck (Finders Keepers, The Crooked Man), The Sandman, which features genre standouts Tobin Bell (the Saw films), Shaun Sipos (The Vampire Diaries, Texas Chainsaw 3D, Final Destination 2), Amanda Wyss (A Nightmare on Elm Street) and Ricco Ross (Aliens), stars Haylie Duff (Napoleon Dynamite, Material Girls) like you have never seen her before.

Witten and directed by Peter Sullivan (Ominous, Summoned) whose production company, Hybrid, is known for exceptional movies for television, crafted the horror around eight year old 'Madison' (Shae Smolik) who, when her father is found dead, goes to live with her aunt 'Claire' (Haylie Duff), a struggling artist in a nearby city. It isn’t long before Claire realizes that the young girl has unusual powers, including the ability to manifest a frightening boogeyman she calls “The Sandman.” Claire quickly begins to suspect that the Sandman might be responsible not only for the death of Madison’s father, but many other victims across the country.

With a clandestine government agency closing in on the young girl, Claire and Madison will have to work together to find a way to stop the Sandman before he claims his next victim. Factor in the sinister 'Valentine' (Tobin Bell) who leads a cadre of bureaucrats who do not mean well and soon, strange things start happening whenever Madison is around. Things move around by themselves. Cabinet doors open and close. Almost as if there’s some kind of supernatural entity in the house. It's a journey you'll have to fully experience to understand.

Naked Gun Reboot On It's Way

If you've seen Naked Gun - or The Naked Gun: From The Files Of Police Squad ! to give its full title - you'll know that it's a comedic masterpiece that springboards off astonishing levels of silliness and random spoofery. Leslie Nielsen's Frank Drebin is a loveable buffoon for the ages, even when he's discussing his dicky prostrate. Do not, however, expect the Ed Helms -starring reboot to adopt exactly the same tack. According to Naked Gun director/co-writer David Zucker, talking up Airplane!'s screening at Nashville's Wild West Comedy Festival, the new version will not attempt to hit the same spoofy sweet spot as the Zuckers and Jim Abrahams' 1988 comedy. "It won’t be like the Naked Gun that I did," Zucker revealed. "It may be good, but it won’t be that kind of movie. They’re going to use the title. They asked me if I wanted to produce. They’re nice people, but they don’t want to do that style of spoof that I do." One departure...
