In just one week, Hayao Miyazaki’s 1979 directorial debut feature comes to big screens nationwide to commemorate Lupin’s 50th anniversary. LUPIN THE 3RD is one of the most recognizable animation series in Japanese history, and on Thursday, September 14 (7 p.m., English dubbed) and Tuesday, September 19 (7 p.m., English subtitled), U.S. audiences can experience one of the most notable titles -- “LUPIN THE 3RD: THE CASTLE OF CAGLIOSTRO.”

This is part of the Studio Ghibli Fest 2017. They're releasing 7 of Hayao Miyazaki's films this year. I think it started back in March or April, but I haven't really heard of any of the movies debuting until recently. Miyazaki is back in Ghibli Studios working on probably his final film. Came out of retirement for this one and will probably be 80 when it gets released. Hayao Miyazaki's imagination is unreal. There's a good documentary about him and Ghibli Studios on Netflix called,"The Kingdom of Dreams and Madness" (夢と狂気の王国).
