John Paesano's score for Marvel's Daredevil Season One had the task of setting the tone for the Netflix Original Series. Right from the opening credits Paesano creates a powerful sense of urgency and an undercurrent of darkness, crafting some of the most kinetic musical sequences in the Marvel Universe including the bombastic tracks "Hallway Fight" and "Stick."
Sean Callery's (Homeland, Bones, 24) score for Marvel's Jessica Jones Season One took the tonal shift from gritty ground level action to noir. Everything you need to know can be found in "Jessica Jones Main Title" (2016 Emmy® Award winner for Outstanding Original Main Title Theme Music) with its mix of late night, street corner Jazz consumed by pulsating rhythms and a wailing guitar that creates a musical dichotomy thematically appropriate to the narrative of our titular hero.
Continuing artwork for Marvel soundtracks is Matthew Woodson. Each cover features the hero on the exterior gatefold and the big bad (Kilgrave on Marvel's Jessica Jones, and Wilson Fisk on Marvel's Daredevil) on the interior gatefold.
Both albums go on sale on Wednesday, November 9 at Noon CST at MondoTees.com and will also be available for purchase at the House of Wax bar inside Alamo Drafthouse's new Brooklyn location. Alamo Drafthouse Brooklyn is the first theater in the Alamo Drafthouse chain to include a permanent record rack inside the theater's bar where select Mondo vinyl releases will be available on the same day they are released online. To celebrate this momentous occasion, Mondo will be in Brooklyn at House of Wax on November 9th to sell copies of the Marvel's Daredevil Season One, Marvel's Jessica Jones Season One, and Marvel's Luke Cage albums.
