BOB MARLEY: ONE LOVE Featurette

First Look At King Arthur: Legend of the Sword

King Arthur: Get your first look at Jude Law as a medieval villain, EW scored the first images from the film.

Did anyone really expect pub-brawl auteur Guy Ritchie (Snatch) to deliver a straightforward, hither-and-thither take on the once and future king? Of course not. In King Arthur: Legend of the Sword (due out March 24), he’s dirty and beat up and rugged.

And even though Charlie Hunnam might still pull a sword from a stone to begin his journey to the throne, his Arthur is a little more street than his forebears. “He’s a bit rough around the edges, but he’s basically a survivor,” Hunnam says. “There’s definitely a harder edge than people would imagine.”

That edge serves him well when dealing with his tyrannical uncle, Jude Law’s Vortigern, who’s got more than a bad boy appeal to defend himself.

Charlie Hunnam's King Arthur won't be a 'good guy' from the beginning
As the murderer of his brother and Arthur’s dad Uther Pendragon (Eric Bana) and the usurper of the throne, Vortigern has done more than enough to earn his nephew’s wrath, but backing him is a set of deadly magical powers that give him the upper hand.

Arthur: Legend of the Sword is a bit of high fantasy meets Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels. No word yet on whether this Arthur’s court will feature bare-knuckle boxing, but — let’s be real — probably.

Naked Gun Reboot On It's Way

If you've seen Naked Gun - or The Naked Gun: From The Files Of Police Squad ! to give its full title - you'll know that it's a comedic masterpiece that springboards off astonishing levels of silliness and random spoofery. Leslie Nielsen's Frank Drebin is a loveable buffoon for the ages, even when he's discussing his dicky prostrate. Do not, however, expect the Ed Helms -starring reboot to adopt exactly the same tack. According to Naked Gun director/co-writer David Zucker, talking up Airplane!'s screening at Nashville's Wild West Comedy Festival, the new version will not attempt to hit the same spoofy sweet spot as the Zuckers and Jim Abrahams' 1988 comedy. "It won’t be like the Naked Gun that I did," Zucker revealed. "It may be good, but it won’t be that kind of movie. They’re going to use the title. They asked me if I wanted to produce. They’re nice people, but they don’t want to do that style of spoof that I do." One departure...
