Scott Eastwood Joins #Fast8

Variety is reporting Scott Eastwood has joined the ensemble of “Fast 8,” the next installment in the “Fast and Furious” franchise.

Eastwood joins Charlize Theron, who will portray a new antagonist.

The latest installment begins production this summer with a planned April 14, 2017, release. Vin Diesel, Dwayne Johnson, Tyrese Gibson and Michelle Rodriguez will reprise their roles, with F. Gary Gray taking over the directing reins. Neil Moritz and Diesel will produce.

Eastwood is playing the protege of Kurt Russell’s federal agent, who will be reprising his role in the latest installment as well..

If you've seen Naked Gun - or The Naked Gun: From The Files Of Police Squad ! to give its full title - you'll know that it's a comedic masterpiece that springboards off astonishing levels of silliness and random spoofery.
