DVD & Digital Bonus Materials Include Two Behind-the-Scenes Featurettes
From British documentary maker Simon Pummell comes the action-packed, science-fiction thriller IDENTICALS, debuting in theaters, on Demand and Digital March 25 and arriving on DVD April 5 from Samuel Goldwyn Films & Sony Pictures Home Entertainment. In IDENTICALS, the organization Brand New U helps its customers make a “life upgrade” by replacing their life with an “identical” but more advantageous one. The film stars Nick Blood (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D), Lachlan Nieboer (Charlie Countryman), Nora-Jane Noone (Brooklyn), Michelle Asante (London Boulevard) and Tony Way (The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo).
Bonus content on IDENTICALS includes two behind-the-scenes featurettes. “Discussion with Writer/Director Simon Pummell” takes us through Pummell’s process of creating the world of IDENTICALS, while “Visual Effects Breakdown” shows the step by step process of how scenes are brought to life with the help of green screen and visual effects.
The organization Brand New-U identifies networks of IDENTICALS – people who walk like you, talk like you, but are walking through different, better lives - and helps their customers make a life upgrade: eliminating the better-life donor, and relocating their client to that brand new life. Slater seems to have the perfect life, the perfect job and the perfect girlfriend. But when Slater’s girlfriend is abducted by Brand New-U, and a corpse left in her place, he is forced to become an Identical. As he moves through a series of parallel lives, he becomes more and more obsessed with finding his girlfriend, but what he must find in the end is himself.
Written and Directed by Simon Pummell, IDENTICALS was produced by Janine Marmot and co-produced by Conor Barry, John Keville and Reinier Selen. Stephanie Bollag, Amy Gardner, Keith Griffiths, Rory Gilmartin, Lizzie Francke and Christopher served as executive producers.
Bonus Materials Include:
Two Featurettes:
“Discussion with Writer/Director Simon Pummell”
“Visual Effects Breakdown”
IDENTICALS has a run time of approximately 100 minutes and is rated R for language, some violence, drug use and sexuality.
