BOB MARLEY: ONE LOVE Featurette

Blu-ray Review: #DieHardNakatomiPlaza

Fox hits a "Yippee Kiyay!" with the best special edition set of 2015.

Review by Matt Cummings

If you've been reading us for awhile, you know of my love for special editions of trilogies, steelbooks, or 'look back' releases with special or inventive packaging. There was 2013's Avengers Phase One suitcase, 2014's ET: The Extraterrestrial Spaceship, and Blade Runner suitcase are just a few that reside under my glass. But there were few in 2015 that stood up, ready to be counted. Until now. The Die Hard Nakatomi Plaza is just such a set, a simply outstanding release that demands your attention, respect, and money.

Rather than take you through a detailed analysis, allow my images tell the story of just how impressive this is.
A couple of quick notes: the Plaza stands at just under 15", and the art cards do fit in the case, which means you should be able to nail just the discs. But why settle for just the discs? As you can see, the Die Hard Nakatomi Plaza is simply the best special edition packaging of 2015. The scale and production value here is outstanding, with sharp detail on the building, the well-made dossiers of each villain, plus a good Behind the Scenes booklet, and of course the ingenious way of storing the discs. Say what you want about the quality of the last two films in the series, but you can't argue about what houses them.
