BOB MARLEY: ONE LOVE Featurette

First Image From War For The Planet Of The Apes

"It has begun," says director Matt Reeves. And with that, comes a tweet of the first ever image from War For The Planet Of The Apes.

It's a figure riding a horse on a beach. We've seen that before somewhere... The original Apes saw Charlton Heston's Taylor arriving in similarly equestrian fashion on a similar shoreline to make an extraordinary discovery.

Chronologically that film took place after the events of Conquest Of The Planet Of The Apes and Battle For The Planet Of The Apes, kind of the stories that Dawn and Rise recently reworked. Does this first pic tease that we're now arriving at the original beginning? Our heads hurt. If you need a recap, we have just the guide for you.

Woody Harrelson, Chad Rook and Gabriel Chavarria are among the humans this time, with Steve Zahn joining the ranks of the apes, along with Andy Serkis and Terry Notary.

Details are sketchy about what the film will cover, though if you watched Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes you know that (spoiler alert) after a conflict between the human survivors of the virus and Caesar’s simian forces, a sort of truce was reached, one that was threatened by the coming of human reinforcements from outside San Francisco.

Naked Gun Reboot On It's Way

If you've seen Naked Gun - or The Naked Gun: From The Files Of Police Squad ! to give its full title - you'll know that it's a comedic masterpiece that springboards off astonishing levels of silliness and random spoofery. Leslie Nielsen's Frank Drebin is a loveable buffoon for the ages, even when he's discussing his dicky prostrate. Do not, however, expect the Ed Helms -starring reboot to adopt exactly the same tack. According to Naked Gun director/co-writer David Zucker, talking up Airplane!'s screening at Nashville's Wild West Comedy Festival, the new version will not attempt to hit the same spoofy sweet spot as the Zuckers and Jim Abrahams' 1988 comedy. "It won’t be like the Naked Gun that I did," Zucker revealed. "It may be good, but it won’t be that kind of movie. They’re going to use the title. They asked me if I wanted to produce. They’re nice people, but they don’t want to do that style of spoof that I do." One departure...
