BOB MARLEY: ONE LOVE Featurette

Bryan Fuller Wants A #Hannibal Film

Fannibals, take heart! (Not literally, of course.) In a Comic-Con interview with Yahoo TV, Hannibal mastermind, Bryan Fuller, revealed that he’s weighing several potential avenues for continuing the show now that NBC has officially canceled it.

One of those avenues would potentially be a standalone theatrical film. “The idea for Season 4 that we were intending to do could go into a film very easily,” Fuller teases, adding that he “can’t say too much about it, because it will spoil the end of this season.” That, and there are also additional rights issues to sort out, as he currently only has the ability to tell stories about Hannibal Lecter and Will Graham in the television realm. Still, Fuller’s optimism should feed the souls and stomachs of Hannibal devotees worried that the Season 3 finale will also be a permanent end.

Fuller also makes it clear that he’d welcome Fannibal support in showing the appetite for more Hannibal, up to and including mailing body parts to the studio. “A very clear message would be sent about the dangers of not doing a fourth season,” he says laughing. He’s also quick to reassure viewers that Hugh Dancy and Mads Mikkelsen would continue to be part of the show no matter where or in what format it returns. Waiter, we’d like to order a fourth helping of Hannibal now, if you please.

Hannibal airs Thursdays at 10 p.m. on NBC.

Naked Gun Reboot On It's Way

If you've seen Naked Gun - or The Naked Gun: From The Files Of Police Squad ! to give its full title - you'll know that it's a comedic masterpiece that springboards off astonishing levels of silliness and random spoofery. Leslie Nielsen's Frank Drebin is a loveable buffoon for the ages, even when he's discussing his dicky prostrate. Do not, however, expect the Ed Helms -starring reboot to adopt exactly the same tack. According to Naked Gun director/co-writer David Zucker, talking up Airplane!'s screening at Nashville's Wild West Comedy Festival, the new version will not attempt to hit the same spoofy sweet spot as the Zuckers and Jim Abrahams' 1988 comedy. "It won’t be like the Naked Gun that I did," Zucker revealed. "It may be good, but it won’t be that kind of movie. They’re going to use the title. They asked me if I wanted to produce. They’re nice people, but they don’t want to do that style of spoof that I do." One departure...
