Tom Cruise’s new mission will be accepted July 31.

Smartly reconsidering the decision to go toe-to-toe with Star Wars in December, Deadline reports that Paramount has opted to bump Mission: Impossible 5 up to July 31, where it will now face a more surmountable opponent in Warner Bros’ wildly uncalled-for remake of Point Break. This is a huge vote of confidence in the Tom Cruise five-quel, as movies are generally far more likely to be pushed back six months rather than moved up. M:I5 now stands as yet another appetizing side on a summer table already packed with tasty treats.
