BOB MARLEY: ONE LOVE Featurette

Come See #BILLYBATES In Tucson And Stay For The Q&A After Film

Get your tickets to see BILLY BATES On Nov 16, 2014 at 4:00 pm in Tucson. Q&A after screening with film's star James Wirt, the producer of the film Julie Pacino, as well as the director of the film Jennifer DeLia.

From director Jennifer DeLia and producer Julie Pacino comes a fascinating and absorbing portrait of a troubled artist, Billy Bates, walking the tight rope between brilliance and madness. Billy seeks solace in his beautiful lover, Kaia, an angelic singer he meets at an art show. As the two together attempt to navigate his mind-bending reality, the film becomes a cacophony of voices, music, and memories that take us through Billy’s kaleidoscopic world of underground parties, a psychotic break, and on the rise as an artist. All throughout this journey, Billy creates his newest body of work and is coined ‘the Warhol of his generation.’ Billy Bates stars James Wirt and Savannah Welch and features Margherita Missoni, Josephine de La Baume, Zoe Twitt, and Sally Golan. Music by Moby’s band The Little Death, the Trishas, the late Arthur Russell, and more. Original artwork by Burton Machen and featuring works from Andy Warhol, Damien Hirst, Jean-Michel Basquiat.

Also, following the screening there will be a post screening Q&A with the film's star James Wirt, the producer of the film Julie Pacino, as well as the director of the film Jennifer DeLia. Jennifer use to live in Tucson some years ago and was also a DJ for one of the radio stations in Tucson as well.

This is an exciting opportunity for your members in Tucson to get the chance to ask Jennifer, Julie, and James questions about the filmmaking process as well as the business.

Naked Gun Reboot On It's Way

If you've seen Naked Gun - or The Naked Gun: From The Files Of Police Squad ! to give its full title - you'll know that it's a comedic masterpiece that springboards off astonishing levels of silliness and random spoofery. Leslie Nielsen's Frank Drebin is a loveable buffoon for the ages, even when he's discussing his dicky prostrate. Do not, however, expect the Ed Helms -starring reboot to adopt exactly the same tack. According to Naked Gun director/co-writer David Zucker, talking up Airplane!'s screening at Nashville's Wild West Comedy Festival, the new version will not attempt to hit the same spoofy sweet spot as the Zuckers and Jim Abrahams' 1988 comedy. "It won’t be like the Naked Gun that I did," Zucker revealed. "It may be good, but it won’t be that kind of movie. They’re going to use the title. They asked me if I wanted to produce. They’re nice people, but they don’t want to do that style of spoof that I do." One departure...
