Christie will replace Lily Rabe in the role of Commander Lyme.
Gwendoline Christie, who plays the tough warrior Brienne of Tarth on HBO's Game of Thrones, has nabbed another military leader role.
The actress will play Commander Lyme in Lionsgate's The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 2. She's replacing Lily Rabe, who was originally cast in the role.
Rabe had to drop out due to a scheduling conflict with a previous commitment to Much Ado About Nothing at Shakespeare in the Park.
The fourth film in the hit YA franchise -- which will star Jennifer Lawrence, Liam Hemsworth and Josh Hutcherson -- is currently filming back-to-back with Mockingjay - Part 1.
Lyme is one of the leaders of District 13, the district in the futuristic Panem that is rebelling against the government. She hails from District 2 and is a past victor of an unknown Hunger Games.
Mockingjay - Part 1, the third of four films based on Suzanne Collins' popular YA novels, will hit theaters Nov. 21, 2014. Mockingjay - Part 2 will follow one year later on Nov. 20, 2015.
The second film, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, was a massive hit when it opened in November. It's earned $864.6 million worldwide to date.
Along with starring on HBO's fantasy hit Game of Thrones, Christie's film credits include 2009's The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus. She's repped by Untitled Entertainment and The Artists Partnership in the U.K.
