York Yankees closer Aroldis Chapman (34) was placed on the injured list (IL) for absurd reasons.

The Yankees said on the 28th (Korea Standard Time) that "Chapman recently had a bacterial infection in the tattooed area and posted it on the IL."

Chapman got a tattoo on his leg last week and has since suffered pain. He was treated with antibiotics, but the pain did not subside, leading to the listing of the injured. The absence is inevitable until the second week of September.

Yankees manager Aaron Boone said, "Chapman's departure will not go in the long run. He will recover soon, he said. "Tattoo is a matter of personal choice, and Chapman was just unlucky," defending Chapman.

Chapman, who made his major league debut in the Cincinnati Reds in 2010, drew attention as a left-handed pitcher who threw a 106-mile fastball. He then made more than 20 saves each year from 2012 to 2019, and has played for the Yankees since 2016.

He also showed off his rusty performance last year with six wins, four losses and 30 saves with a 3.36 ERA, which he is suffering from frequent injuries this year.https://go-toto.com
