CINEMARK ANNOUNCES EXCLUSIVE OFFER FOR PARAMOUNT PICTURES AND INDIAN PAINTBRUSH’S ‘LABOR DAY’ JUST IN TIME FOR VALENTINE’S DAY WEEKEND

Cinemark Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: CNK), one of the world's leading motion picture exhibitors, announces a special ticket offer exclusively at participating Cinemark locations across the U.S. Just in time for Valentine’s Day weekend, Cinemark is offering a free admission to see Paramount Pictures and Indian Paintbrush’s LABOR DAY with the purchase of a LABOR DAY ticket. This offer is valid only from Friday, February 14 through Monday, February 17, 2014 with the presentation of a special online coupon.

“Cinemark is offering this special value to encourage our guests to celebrate their Valentine’s Day weekend at the theatre,” says James Meredith, VP, Head of Marketing and Communications for Cinemark. “LABOR DAY has a phenomenal cast and is full of romance and suspense. It’s a perfect movie for a Valentine’s date night.”

Beginning Friday the 14th, the buy one, get one free offer is available for each ticket purchased for LABOR DAY with the presentation of an online coupon available at www.cinemark.com. Customers simply present the printed coupon or show the coupon barcode on a smartphone to the box office cashier for their free admission. The free ticket offer is limited to the same show time as the purchased ticket.

LABOR DAY starring Kate Winslet and Josh Brolin, centers on 13-year-old Henry Wheeler (Gattlin Griffith) who struggles to be the man of his house and care for his reclusive mother Adele (Winslet) while confronting all the pangs of adolescence. On a back-to-school shopping trip, Henry and his mother encounter Frank Chambers (Brolin), a man both intimidating and clearly in need of help, who convinces them to take him into their home and later is revealed to be an escaped convict. The events of this long Labor Day weekend will shape them for the rest of their lives. The movie is written and directed by Jason Reitman and is based on the novel by Joyce Maynard.

Naked Gun Reboot On It's Way

If you've seen Naked Gun - or The Naked Gun: From The Files Of Police Squad ! to give its full title - you'll know that it's a comedic masterpiece that springboards off astonishing levels of silliness and random spoofery. Leslie Nielsen's Frank Drebin is a loveable buffoon for the ages, even when he's discussing his dicky prostrate. Do not, however, expect the Ed Helms -starring reboot to adopt exactly the same tack. According to Naked Gun director/co-writer David Zucker, talking up Airplane!'s screening at Nashville's Wild West Comedy Festival, the new version will not attempt to hit the same spoofy sweet spot as the Zuckers and Jim Abrahams' 1988 comedy.
