BOB MARLEY: ONE LOVE Featurette

Quentin Tarantino To Direct Another Western

If you were wondering what Quentin Tarantino might do for his next trick following Django Unchained, you can stop all that pondering. The writer-director went on the Jay Leno show last night to pimp the graphic novel of Django and – as related by The Hollywood Reporter – announced what he’s working on.

"I haven't told anyone this publicly, but I will say the genre: It's a western," Tarantino said,” though he followed that up by saying it wouldn’t be a sequel to Django. "I had so much fun doing Django, and I love westerns so much that after I taught myself how to make one, it's like 'OK! Let me make another one now that I know what I'm doing.'”

Of course, QT being QT, he didn’t elaborate any further, so we don’t know where the film will be set or what will actually happen in it, but it’s fun to speculate what his next, properly, bullet-strewn outing will be. And if you were hoping for more Kill Bill? We’re sorry, but it appears you’re going to have to keep on waiting… Unless it’s a radical genre shift? We’d watch that

Naked Gun Reboot On It's Way

If you've seen Naked Gun - or The Naked Gun: From The Files Of Police Squad ! to give its full title - you'll know that it's a comedic masterpiece that springboards off astonishing levels of silliness and random spoofery. Leslie Nielsen's Frank Drebin is a loveable buffoon for the ages, even when he's discussing his dicky prostrate. Do not, however, expect the Ed Helms -starring reboot to adopt exactly the same tack. According to Naked Gun director/co-writer David Zucker, talking up Airplane!'s screening at Nashville's Wild West Comedy Festival, the new version will not attempt to hit the same spoofy sweet spot as the Zuckers and Jim Abrahams' 1988 comedy. "It won’t be like the Naked Gun that I did," Zucker revealed. "It may be good, but it won’t be that kind of movie. They’re going to use the title. They asked me if I wanted to produce. They’re nice people, but they don’t want to do that style of spoof that I do." One departure...
