Shedding those improbable boyish handsomes with the glee of a cat shedding its winter coat, Jude Law is the boozy, jaundiced, just-a-bit-in-your-face anti-hero of Dom Hemingway, Richard Shepard's upcoming black comedy. He has a new trailer to share with you.
First impressions? Looks like a ride. Law is tackling this phase of his career with serious gusto, throwing himself into a range of nutsoid roles light years from pretty boys of his youth, and Hemingway is certainly one of those. The actor put on ten kilos for the role, a Coca-Cola diet that's been augmented by some ruthless snipping of the Law locks to create this cliff-top teeter of a character.
The going-to-seed Dom Hemingway, fresh from a 12-year stint in prison, heads to the south of France to collect what he's owed for keeping his mouth shut for former crime boss Mr Fontaine (Demián Bichir). Dickie (Richard E. Grant) is along for the ride and all seems hunky dory. Only Dom can't resist the old temptations - femme fatales, booze, shooters, other types of booze - and, sure enough, off the cliff he goes.
