OBLIVION Will Now Be Released On April 19th

Please note that Universal Pictures will now release OBLIVION everywhere and in all formats on Friday, April 19, 2013.

(NOTE: The film was originally scheduled for release in IMAX and in other Large Format Theatres on Friday, April 12, 2013.)

Tom Cruise stars in OBLIVION, an original and groundbreaking cinematic event from the director of TRON: Legacy and producers of Rise of the Planet of the Apes. On a spectacular future Earth that has evolved beyond recognition, one man’s confrontation with the past will lead him on a journey of redemption and discovery as he battles to save mankind. OBLIVION co-stars Oscar® winner Morgan Freeman, Olga Kurylenko, Andrea Riseborough and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau. Based on the graphic novel original story by Joseph Kosinski, the film is from a screenplay by Karl Gajdusek and Michael deBruyn. It is produced by Joseph Kosinski, Peter Chernin, Dylan Clark, Barry Levine and Duncan Henderson.

In the film, which officially kicks off phase 5 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Super-Hero partners Scott Lang ( Paul Rudd ) and Hope Van Dyne ( Evangeline Lilly ) return to continue their adventures as Ant-Man and the Wasp.
