We got some information from a source who saw the unfinished film who gave us some comparisons from the unfinished film and the completed movie. I remember watching Arnold Schwarzenegger's version of  TOTAL RECALL  when it came to theatres in 1990: sexy, sultry Sharon Stone , brandishing firearms against Arnold's Doug Quaid as he traveled to Mars to fulfill his destiny. The film raised interesting questions about memory without getting too involved in the discussion. Appearances by the alien named Quatto and Eddie the crazy cab driver turned hitman helped round out what I thought was a pretty good film. Chris McCoy is being tapped to rewrite Guardians of the Galaxy , Marvel Studios’ space adventure movie. Galaxy is part of Marvel’s second wave of movies and is the only new title among the crop of mostly sequels featuring Iron Man, Thor and Captain America . It was revealed as the company’s mystery movie in late June and officially announced at Comic-Con in July. Sony Pictures has just closed a deal for an untitled love story that Cameron Crowe will direct in the spring, with Emma Stone starring. Crowe wrote the script, and Scott Rudin is producing. The project is a two-hander, and that the male lead hasn’t yet been set, and that the tone is reminiscent of past Crowe films Almost Famous and Jerry Maguire. Are your excited about this news? The studio's big summer bet was Ridley Scott's Prometheus , June's sort-of Alien prequel. The $130 million-budgeted film grossed a solid but not spectacular $303 million globally, putting it right on the franchise bubble. Fox confirms to THR that Scott and the studio actively are pushing ahead with a follow-up (stars Michael Fassbender and Noomi Rapace are signed) and are talking to new writers because Prometheus co-scribe Damon Lindelof might not be available. "Ridley is incredibly excited about the movie, but we have to get it right. We can't rush it," says Fox president of production Emma Watts, who also has overseen the successful reboots of the X-Men and Planet of the Apes franchises. Director Jon M. Chu is in talks to take the helm of Sony's Masters of the Universe , an adaptation of the 1980s Mattel toy line, his reps confirmed to THR. The filmmaker, whose credits include Step Up 2 and Step Up 3D as well as the documentary Justin Bieber: Never Say Never , would take the project on as the follow-up to another adaptation of a toy line, G.I. Before Tom Hardy bulked up (again) and chilled audiences as Batman's nemesis Bane in The Dark Knight Rises , the actor got to play a villainous, younger, cloned version of Capt. Jean-Luc Picard in 2002's Star Trek: Nemesis . I don't even remember this movie or his role in the film. Now you can watch his first interaction with Picard himself, played by Sir Patrick Stewart. The newly unearthed screen test is intermingled with the actual movie's filmed scenes, so you can have a nice look at the different nuances the two British actors brought both to the screen test and then to the actual finished film.
