I had the opportunity to attend the WonderCon press junket for Open Road Films upcoming science fiction action film LOCKOUT starring Guy Pearce and Maggie Grace . Unfortunately Guy was unable to join us. But I did get a chance to talk to the beautiful Maggie Grace . We got a chance to ask her how it was working with Luc Besson whom she was worked with on Taken and the upcoming film Taken 2 . She explained to us how it was working with a green screen and what she took away from the action sequences that she did for the film. She gives us insight into the upcoming film also. I was able to sneak in a question about Twilight for all you Twi-hards. Many of those gathered at WonderCon --a smaller-scale Comic-Con held Saturday at the Anaheim Convention Center--arrived eager to see Fox pull back the curtain on Prometheus , director Ridley Scott's return to the sci-fi genre. The project is perhaps the most intriguing movie of the year, since very little is known about it even though it's scheduled to hit theaters on June 8. Many are still wondering if it's a sequel to Scott's sci-fi horror classic Alien, a prequel, or something else entirely. The answers were finally revealed (sort of) when Scott, the film's co-writer Damon Lindelof and co-star Charlize Theron presented an extended trailer Saturday afternoon--which might only have raised more questions. The trailer is a slick piece of work, teasing a mystery (which includes an "invitation" from another civilization), an expedition featuring co-stars Noomi Rapace and Michael Fassbender, then slowly ratcheting up the tension. The hot movie project Prisoners is finally getting off the ground. Hugh Jackman has signed to star in the gritty thriller being made by Alcon, while Denis Villeneuve, the Canadian helmer behind the Oscar-nominated movie Incendies, is on board to direct. The story centers on a small-town carpenter ( Jackman ) whose young daughter and best friend are kidnapped. After the cops fail to find them, his character takes the law into his own hands, kidnapping the man he suspects is responsible. But as the kidnapping continues, the carpenter begins to have doubts that he has the right man. The script, by Aaron Guzikowski, initially hit Hollywood in early 2009, generating such heat that it attracted actors Mark Wahlberg and Christian Bale even before it was picked up by Alcon, which beat out several bidders. Today we got our hands on three new featurettes from the upcoming film SNOW WHITE AND THE HUNTSMAN . The three videos go into detail about the visuals, the imagery and how epic the film is. Looks like the cast and crew has shown up again at  Montara State Beach on March 12, 2012 for the Hollywood film ' Of Men and Mavericks ' about Mavericks surfer Jay Moriarity . Is Warner Bros. bringing Arthur & Lancelot back to life? After scrapping the project, which was to have been directed by David Dobkin, earlier this year, Warners is in talks with Colin Farrell to potentially star in a revived version as Lancelot. Last year, the studio cast Kit Harrington and Joel Kinnaman as the respective title characters in what was to have been a lighthearted action pic, similar in tone to Warners' successful Sherlock Holmes franchise. But in January the studio hit the brakes on the project, mainly due to budgetary concerns. Also factoring in was that neither of the actors had sufficient star clout to carry something of this nature. With studios getting ever tougher on production budgets, the film version of 24 appears all but scrubbed. Two weeks ago, 20th Century Fox proposed a budget of $30 million for the feature, which would have Kiefer Sutherland return to the role of Jack Bauer for the first time since the long-running Fox television series ended in May 2010. Turning TV shows into bigscreen properties can be tricky and Fox wanted to protect its interests. Imagine Entertainment, which produced the TV series for 20th Television and is behind the movie, wanted to spend more in the range of $50 million to $60 million. Fox had proposed paying Sutherland and Fuqua $2 million each in exchange for a generous backend. Sutherland's camp wanted in the $3 million range. It's always possible there could be a compromise, with both sides stressing that the numbers weren't set in stone.
