Everything we’ve seen so far from Wreck-It Ralph has us anticipating great things of Disney’s latest ‘toon. The latest trailer for the video game-set adventure is online courtesy of Yahoo and you can gain a power up by watching the footage above.
Wreck-It Ralph finds the titular character (voiced by John C Reilly) bored after decades of doing same job – smashing a building as his game’s villain – and be hated for simply doing what he was programmed to do.
Watch the trailer after the Jump...
So he decides to hop into other games to try to become a hero. Among the worlds he visits are Hero’s Duty (which features Jane Lynch as a tough-assed sergeant) and candy-coated racing game Sugar Rush, where he meets a chatty “glitch” named Vanellope von Schweetz (Sarah Silverman). Together, they learn that being an outcast is much easier if you’ve got a friend to share it with.
But there’s little time for schmaltzy bonding as Ralph has also brought something else with him, unbeknownst to our hero. Something very dangerous…
We’re definitely ready to see this one, as it comes loaded with Simpsons / Futurama-level in-jokes thanks to director David Silverman and also boasts the tonsil talents of Jack McBrayer, Dennis Haysbert, Mindy Kaling and Alan Tudyk.
