BOB MARLEY: ONE LOVE Featurette

Which Avenger Will Not Be Getting His Own Film Soon

Marvel is stacking the deck with characters for Joss Whedon's Avengers, and, while a handful have gotten a chance to shine in the spotlight—most recently, Thor, Captain America and Iron Man—one would think that if Avengers is a hit, some of those heroes might get their own movies. But one most definitely will not.

Samuel L. Jackson's Nick Fury might get his own S.H.I.E.L.D. movie, they've been talking about a Black Widow origin movie for a while now, and—if Jeremy Renner's Bourne Legacy performs well—Hawkeye could very well get called up to the majors. (Agent Coulson, however, is a perennial minor-leaguer.)

As for the Hulk ... well, he's had his shot. Or so says Marvel's president, Kevin Feige:

"I mean, this was the third appearance of Hulk and everything that we had and were going for, we put in to Hulk's appearance in Avengers. So, I love that people are saying [positive things about the Hulk in Avengers] and are feeling that way about Hulk, but mission accomplished at this point."
Feige is quick to point out that this might not be the last time you see the Hulk on screen, but it'll probably be a while:

"It was a long road to get to this point. Although, I will say, after the [premiere] screening, I heard various arguments over who was their favorite. Which is my favorite thing: Arguing what was the favorite moment or character. And the fact that so many [people] are saying Hulk feels very, very good. Where we go next, we'll see. But we'll be very careful about it and deliberate—as we were in how we wanted to bring him back in Avengers."

So, we'll see Big Green in Avengers 2 then, yes?

Naked Gun Reboot On It's Way

If you've seen Naked Gun - or The Naked Gun: From The Files Of Police Squad ! to give its full title - you'll know that it's a comedic masterpiece that springboards off astonishing levels of silliness and random spoofery. Leslie Nielsen's Frank Drebin is a loveable buffoon for the ages, even when he's discussing his dicky prostrate. Do not, however, expect the Ed Helms -starring reboot to adopt exactly the same tack. According to Naked Gun director/co-writer David Zucker, talking up Airplane!'s screening at Nashville's Wild West Comedy Festival, the new version will not attempt to hit the same spoofy sweet spot as the Zuckers and Jim Abrahams' 1988 comedy. "It won’t be like the Naked Gun that I did," Zucker revealed. "It may be good, but it won’t be that kind of movie. They’re going to use the title. They asked me if I wanted to produce. They’re nice people, but they don’t want to do that style of spoof that I do." One departure
