BOB MARLEY: ONE LOVE Featurette

THE MUPPETS Wocka Wocka Blu-Ray Review

THE MUPPETS Wocka Wocka Value Pack Blu-Ray Review
By: RAMA

Looks like this Blu-ray has everything you need according to RAMA. Ah yes, the movie that made me feel like a kid again. It’s 2011’s ultimate nostalgic movie for a lot of us who are very familiar with these iconic characters. Who can forget animal, Miss Piggy, Kermit the Frog, Swedish Chef, Pepe, and so many more?! A billion thanks to Disney, director James Bobin, screenwriters Nicholas Stoller, Jason Segel, Bret McKenzie for bringing this gang back to us and in full force. And now, it’s time to light the lights, it’s time for THE MUPPETS to hit wocka-wocka value pack blu-ray…

‘Wocka-Wocka Value Pack,’ which contains the movie on Blu-ray high definition,
DVD and Digital Copy (three discs), plus a download card which allows fans to own all the songs
from the film’s hugely popular soundtrack.
Disney’s “The Muppets” Blu-ray Combo Pack, with its flawless picture and pitch perfect sound,
comes with a fantastic slate of bonus content including the laugh out loud “The Longest
Blooper Reel Ever Made (In Muppet History––We Think).” The exciting release also includes
the hilarious featurette “A Little Screen Test on the Way to the Read Through,” which follows
Jason Segel, Kermit, The Great Gonzo, Fozzie Bear, Miss Piggy and others as they get ready for
the first day of production, and much more fun.
“Blu-ray is a great way to bring the Muppets into your home without having to worry about cleaning
up after us,” said Kermit the Frog, commenting on the announcement. “And the behind-the-scenes
extras are a revealing tell-all look at what it took to bring our movie to the big screen. It’s a must-see for
fans of bloopers, flubs and slip-ups – which pretty much describes our act.”

The wocka wocka value pack is about the best blu-ray combo pack you can hope to get from any film.
When my copy arrived, it says on the cover that it comes with blu-ray, DVD, digital copy, and the soundtrack too! How awesome is that. At first I thought it meant the soundtrack CD was in the packet, but it’s even better, it’s actually the entire soundtrack that you can download and the instructions are easy to follow. There are also codes the digital copy, Disney movie awards, and more muppet mayhem inside, which has word domination and spot the differences games, even coupons for pistachios and bounty paper towel, this whole wocka wocka packet is simply irresistible. If you don’t chuckle, it will definitely make you smile.

What more can I say about the film that I haven’t already said when it theaters last year, just like any other previous Muppet film or the old shows, Segel and stoller kept the humor funny, family-friendly, and relevant. After so many years, the Muppet characters found themselves in odd jobs, and strange situations, so strange that you’d have to be stone cold hearted not to laugh.
Introducing the new character, Walter, who still believed in childhood dreams and that the gang could get back together no matter how impossible things seemed. Walter was pretty much the anchor; his story also gave motivation for the relationship of Segel and Amy Adams’ characters.
The only weakness this movie had, which I didn’t really mind a great deal about, was that it had too many advices, as if every scene had some wise words or lessons that you just have to learn, we were bombarded with one after another, but then I thought THE MUPPETS would not be THE MUPPETS without its wisdom.

You would not want to miss out on the blu-ray features, too. The first segment is basically a behind-the-scenes the-making featurette. What’s hilarious about it is that it’s done Muppets style, so just like the movie itself where humans and muppets lived side by side in harmony, supposedly THE MUPPETS movie was made by the collaboration of humans and muppets as well. So the segment shows the muppets in their trailers, driving around the set on a golf kart, each character would get to talk to the interviewer about their colleagues. The whole thing is downright hilarious.
There’s even a read-through segment where a few of the muppets sat with Segel for rehearsal. The blu-ray’s got tons of deleted scenes featuring more celeb cameos that sadly got cut out of the final theatrical print. Billy Crystal showed up at a Muppet yard sale that intentionally sold Oscar knock-offs.
As you know, my least favorite part of any blu-ray is always audio commentary, I find that segment to be unnecessary and rather annoying, but watching THE MUPPETS with audio commentary by director Bobin, and screenwriters Segel and Stoller will crack you up because these guys know how to make funny comments without trying too hard, they’re just naturally good at it.
I’m planning to use THE MUPPETS digital copy to the max, so I can watch the film on any portable device I own, because this is one movie that essentially brings out the kid in all of us.
If your friend tells you to stop loving things from your childhood, that you’ve gotta stop being a kid at heart, that you’ve gotta grow up and sell your comic books or your old favorite movies or forget about such characters as THE MUPPETS, then it’s time for you to find a new friend.

Naked Gun Reboot On It's Way

If you've seen Naked Gun - or The Naked Gun: From The Files Of Police Squad ! to give its full title - you'll know that it's a comedic masterpiece that springboards off astonishing levels of silliness and random spoofery. Leslie Nielsen's Frank Drebin is a loveable buffoon for the ages, even when he's discussing his dicky prostrate. Do not, however, expect the Ed Helms -starring reboot to adopt exactly the same tack. According to Naked Gun director/co-writer David Zucker, talking up Airplane!'s screening at Nashville's Wild West Comedy Festival, the new version will not attempt to hit the same spoofy sweet spot as the Zuckers and Jim Abrahams' 1988 comedy. "It won’t be like the Naked Gun that I did," Zucker revealed. "It may be good, but it won’t be that kind of movie. They’re going to use the title. They asked me if I wanted to produce. They’re nice people, but they don’t want to do that style of spoof that I do." One departure...
