BOB MARLEY: ONE LOVE Featurette

Be Apart Of History At Mavericks Invitational

BE PART OF THE ACTION WITHOUT THE TWO-WAVE HOLD DOWN

The giant waves of Mavericks are located ½ mile offshore at Pillar Point. The beach at Mavericks is very small, and when it hits high tide and giant swells, the beach is completely underwater.

This year's infamous big wave surf contest, Mavericks Invitational is introducing the Mavericks Invitational Festival, as safe way to experience the event. Now, fans will have a place to go, to view the contest, meet the surfers, hear some great music, get some cool schwag and be a part of the Awards Ceremony when we crown the 2012 winner of the Mavericks Invitational.

General admission tickets to the Mavericks Invitational Festival are $25, and kids 5 and under are FREE! Your ticket not only gets you into this great event, but also lets you enjoy some cool deals with local businesses, restaurants and shops in the Pillar Point community.

This could be your chance to see the stars from the upcoming film "Of Men and Mavericks." The film is shooting on location at Mavericks.

The film stars Gerard Butler. Of Men and Mavericks -- to be released next year by Fox 2000 Pictures -- also co-stars Elisabeth Shue and Abigail Breslin. It follows a chapter in the true-life story of Northern Californian Jay Moriarty, a world champion surfer who made a name surfing Mavericks north of Half Moon Bay before dying in a diving accident at age 22.

The Mavericks Invitational Festival is on the grounds of the Oceana Hotel & Spa in Princeton Harbor, Half Moon Bay. This is the epicenter for the Mavericks Invitational located just down the road from Mavericks and across from Jeff Clark's legendary Mavericks Surf Shop.

For public safety, local authorities from San Mateo County Sheriff, California Parks, CHP, San Mateo County Harbor District and other participating agencies will close off all roads to Pillar Point, including access to the beach and bluffs.

If you purchase a ticket to the Mavericks Invitational Festival and the waves just don't cooperate, your ticket will get you into the Festival and Mavericks Awards! You can't lose! So, if the surf competition does not happen due to a lackluster season of waves, we will have the Mavericks Invitational Festival and Mavericks Awards in Half Moon Bay on March 31, 2012.

Naked Gun Reboot On It's Way

If you've seen Naked Gun - or The Naked Gun: From The Files Of Police Squad ! to give its full title - you'll know that it's a comedic masterpiece that springboards off astonishing levels of silliness and random spoofery. Leslie Nielsen's Frank Drebin is a loveable buffoon for the ages, even when he's discussing his dicky prostrate. Do not, however, expect the Ed Helms -starring reboot to adopt exactly the same tack. According to Naked Gun director/co-writer David Zucker, talking up Airplane!'s screening at Nashville's Wild West Comedy Festival, the new version will not attempt to hit the same spoofy sweet spot as the Zuckers and Jim Abrahams' 1988 comedy. "It won’t be like the Naked Gun that I did," Zucker revealed. "It may be good, but it won’t be that kind of movie. They’re going to use the title. They asked me if I wanted to produce. They’re nice people, but they don’t want to do that style of spoof that I do." One departure...
