BOB MARLEY: ONE LOVE Featurette

Exclusive Interview With Maja From The Sounds

When opportunity knocks you should always open the door, who knows what could happen. That is the premise we followed when we decided to venture into a new frontier for SandwichJohnFilms. The decision was made a week before to ask for an opportunity to interview my favorite band, THE SOUNDS. This decision had only upside. It was going to be a first for all of us involved. There is no other band you want to interview for your first time.

The Sounds are humble and devoted band that love their fans. We got the word the day before the San Francisco show at The Warfield, you get 15 minutes with the band. That's when our lives changed for the better. A chance to interview one of the best Swedish bands touring the world right now.

The Sounds are an indie rock, new wave, dance punk band that formed back in 1998. All the members are from the same town in Sweden. The Sounds take a fresh approach to dance music with punk lyrics to get you movin'.

All their albums boast many tracks with hard driving beats, rebellious lyrics, and a piercing soprano whose voice will melt you from the inside. From the beginning these close friends decided that if they were going to make music then nothing was going to stop them from becoming one of the best bands ever to make music. Most songs are written by the band in a collaborative effort. Each brings a unique sounds to the band.

Starting from their first album, Living in America to their recent release in 2011 of Something To Die For, fans all over the world are mesmerized by the bands ability to put smile on your face while dancing like no one's watching. The Sounds are here and their loyal fans are taking them to the top.

Please LIKE The Sounds on Facebook and make sure to follow them on Twitter.

Im glad her music is not on radio, its so much better than some pop one hit wonder(plus it would breed a bunch of posers). I mostly listen to vintage punk and dislike modern music but I love the sounds. Theyre one of the few modern bands doing it right.

I agree with lance on radio play. Btw guys, Something to die for came out on 3/28/11. It's nice to hear that they've been writing while on the road, that probably means all us Sounds super geeks won't have to wait so long to hear new material or see them again in our favorite cities;) I actually got to meet Maja after their show in austin tx on nov 11th. She's incredibly nice in person, definitly worthy of all the praise she recieves.
