New The Avengers Set Photos From Entertainment Weekly

On the heels of its overly massaged cover image, Entertainment Weekly has released a few more shots from The Avengers. And these show promise.

I've gotta say: Looking at these behind-the-scenes photos from the set of Joss Whedon's Avengers, I feel a whole heck of a lot better about it than after looking at that cover. Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Jeremy Renner, Scarlett Johansson and Chris Evans look like they're having a good time ... hopefully that'll translate into a good movie.

In the film, which officially kicks off phase 5 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Super-Hero partners Scott Lang ( Paul Rudd ) and Hope Van Dyne ( Evangeline Lilly ) return to continue their adventures as Ant-Man and the Wasp. Together, with Hope’s parents Hank Pym (Michael Douglas) and Janet Van Dyne ( Michelle Pfeiffer ), the family finds themselves exploring the Quantum Realm, interacting with strange new creatures and embarking on an adventure that will push them beyond the limits of what they thought was possible.
