BOB MARLEY: ONE LOVE Featurette

Exclusive Interview With Jason Momoa From Upcoming Conan Film

We were unable to attend the Movies On Demand One On One with Conan's Jason Momoa so who better to ask to attend for us than our good buddy Randy from thearnoldfans.

Although the Lionsgate film "Conan" does not come out until next month, I was given early access to interview two lead actors of the film at Comic Con in the press room at the Hard Rock Hotel. Although many of us believe this will not be as good as the epic Schwarzenegger version, I am optimistic that this will still be a fun film and I wish the barbaric actor of Game of Thrones and Conan, Jason Momoa, big success as an actor. On the other hand, I am very disappointed that Momoa does not know "WHAT IS BEST IN LIFE." That's right, it turns out he has never watched the original Arnold film.

"I haven't seen the original movie and a lot of people are kind of upset with me for that but the fact is MY Conan is more of the Frank Frazetta paintings. When I saw those pictures of him, I wanted to be that."

Say WHAT? Momoa who has not spoken with Arnold about playing Conan, believes the CG and 3D effects of today's times will surely enhance the audience's enjoyment.

"It's time to do another Conan. I haven't seen it but I know there are so many stories. He's really a different character. He's not a superhero, he's a man you really want to follow. He's a pirate, he's a thief, he's really quite complicated and to add that to all the technology: the sparkle, the glitter and the way Marcus (the director) is... the way he composes his scenes, and compositions... and add 3D and it's really a part of something glorious and I'm happy to be a part of it."

Throught the interview, Jason was very enthusiastic and was obviously thrilled to be in a room promoting his first big budget film. The female reporters next to me were obviously in love and aside from not having massive Arnold-defined Conan muscles, his look still fits the comic book character well. No one can ever fill Schwarzenegger's shoes and perhaps Jason knows this, which is why he may be perfectly cast as a good runner up. But we shall see come August 19th. The Conan star took a photo with this reporter. Perhaps next time I can remember to unzoom.

Synopsis:

“I live. I love. I slay…I am content.”

- Conan The Barbarian

The most legendary Barbarian of all time is back this Summer. Having thrived and evolved for eight consecutive decades in the public imagination- in prose and graphics, on the big screen and small, in games and properties of all kinds- Conan’s exploits in the Hyborian Age now come alive like never before in a colossal 3D action-adventure film.

A quest that begins as a personal vendetta for the fierce Cimmerian warrior soon turns into an epic battle against hulking rivals, horrific monsters, and impossible odds, as Conan realizes he is the only hope of saving the great nations of Hyboria from an encroaching reign of supernatural evil.

Deftly adapted from the original works of Robert E. Howard and faithful to the mythology and psychology of his iconic character, CONAN THE BARBARIAN stars Jason Momoa, Rachel Nichols, Stephen Lang, Rose McGowan, Saïd Taghmaoui and Ron Perlman. The film is directed by Marcus Nispel, and written by Thomas Dean Donnelly & Joshua Oppenheimer and Sean Hood.

Naked Gun Reboot On It's Way

If you've seen Naked Gun - or The Naked Gun: From The Files Of Police Squad ! to give its full title - you'll know that it's a comedic masterpiece that springboards off astonishing levels of silliness and random spoofery. Leslie Nielsen's Frank Drebin is a loveable buffoon for the ages, even when he's discussing his dicky prostrate. Do not, however, expect the Ed Helms -starring reboot to adopt exactly the same tack. According to Naked Gun director/co-writer David Zucker, talking up Airplane!'s screening at Nashville's Wild West Comedy Festival, the new version will not attempt to hit the same spoofy sweet spot as the Zuckers and Jim Abrahams' 1988 comedy. "It won’t be like the Naked Gun that I did," Zucker revealed. "It may be good, but it won’t be that kind of movie. They’re going to use the title. They asked me if I wanted to produce. They’re nice people, but they don’t want to do that style of spoof that I do." One departure...
