Pixar's Monsters University Delayed

Disney/Pixar’s sequel Monsters University will be released on June 21, 2013, instead of early November 2012.

Instead, Disney’s toon Reboot Ralph will open on Nov. 12, 2012. Ralph had been originally scheduled to open on March 12, 2013.

In its new home, Monsters University opens two weeks after DreamWorks Animation and Paramount release Turbo.

Monsters Inc. was one of Pixar’s earliest hits. The premise for the new movie is under lock and key, although Disney says it will be a prequel.

In the film, which officially kicks off phase 5 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Super-Hero partners Scott Lang ( Paul Rudd ) and Hope Van Dyne ( Evangeline Lilly ) return to continue their adventures as Ant-Man and the Wasp. Together, with Hope’s parents Hank Pym (Michael Douglas) and Janet Van Dyne ( Michelle Pfeiffer ), the family finds themselves exploring the Quantum Realm, interacting with strange new creatures and embarking on an adventure that will push them beyond the limits of what they thought was possible.
