You know what today is MORTAL KOMBAT: LEGACY Day. The second episode has arrived thanks to Machinima’s YouTube channel and we have it for you here. This ultimate series continues where it left of last week and has gotten better. More action and blood.

The ten-part web series sprang from director Kevin Tancharoen's concept trailer for Mortal Kombat: Rebirth, a gritty re-imagining of the franchise characters in a real-world police procedural setting.

The series, written by Tancharoen and Spartacus: Blood and Sand writers Todd and Aaron Helbing and starring Michael Jai White, Jeri Ryan and Ian Anthony Dale (reprising their roles as Jax, Sonya Blade and Scorpion, respectively) mainly follows Scorpion, tasked by Jax and Sonya enter the underground tournament and bring down Shang Tsung, amidst his own personal vendetta against Sub-Zero.

In the film, which officially kicks off phase 5 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Super-Hero partners Scott Lang ( Paul Rudd ) and Hope Van Dyne ( Evangeline Lilly ) return to continue their adventures as Ant-Man and the Wasp.
